Pakistan vs South Africa: Shadab Khan to miss Pakistan?s home series against South Africa due to injury. The senior all-rounder has been fully ruled out of the ongoing test series against New Zealand as well as advised to take rest till full recovery.
Khan during the third T20I game against New Zealand injured himself while fielding. The MRI scans revealed that he has a muscle tear in his left thigh. Doctors suggested at least six weeks rest to Shadab Khan and which re-examination will be done to mark him fit for the international series.
It is almost clear that the all-rounder will miss the whole South Africa tour which consists of two test games followed by three T20Is.
?After the competition of the six-week period, the medical panel will access and evaluate the injury before making a call on Shadab?s return to competitive cricket,? Saleem said in a statement on Saturday.
Shadab Khan will stay with the team in the New Zealand tour and start his rehab program under the eyes of the team?s medical team.
