Vivo IPL 2021: Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR?s) three young cricketers Shubman Gill, Varun Chakravarthy and Kamlesh Nagarkoti are undergoing intense rehabilitation at National Cricket Academy (NCA) Bangalore ahead of the Vivo IPL 2021.

Shubman Gill sustained a shin stress injury before the start of the England test series and the cricketer was ruled out of the entire five matches test series. While Kamlesh Nagarkoti and Varun Chakravarthy are having their rehab cum fitness routines before they travel to the UAE with the rest of the KKR squad.

It is noteworthy that the three can?t participate in the upcoming UAE leg of the IPL 2021 without a proper fitness certificate from the NCA.

"Yes, Chakravarthy and Nagarkoti are here at the NCA doing their rehab cum fitness routines. I guess once NCA gives them the fit certificate, they will be flying with the rest of the KKR team to the UAE. Gill is still training here," the source said.

Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) are yet to board a flight to the UAE. The team is expected to travel by Sunday as reported by various news outlets.

Gill is still under his rehab program and the cricketer's presence in phase 2 of the IPL 2021 could be in jeopardy.

The first seven matches of the Shahrukh Khan owned franchise were forgetful as they only managed to secure two wins out of seven games they played. Eoin Morgan and Co are ranked penultimate in the points table of IPL 2021.

The team still has a good chance to make a commendable comeback, given that there are seven more games left to be played. If KKR manages to win six out of seven remaining matches, they can easily seal a berth in the playoffs.

The two times IPL champions will kick start their campaign on 20th September against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) at Sheikh Zayed Cricket Stadium, Abu Dhabi.
