SL vs PAK 2023: Pakistan announced the test squad for Sri Lanka Tour: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) announced the 16-members squad of Pakistan?s Men Team for the test series against Sri Lanka.

Shaheen Afridi returned to the national team after one year break due to injury. He would be a part of the upcoming two-match series against Sri Lanka, which is scheduled in July. Shaheen played first his last test match against Sri Lanka on 22 July, 2022 due to a knee injury. He missed all the matches of longer format after that.

The Selectors has added two uncapped player in the squad for the upcoming series. After performing outstandingly in the Domestic season, Batter Mohammad Huraira and All-Rounder, Aamir Jamal are selected for the National team.

Babar Azam is going to lead the team and will face the Sri Lankan challenge with the support of his fellow team players, including Mohammad Rizwan, Imam-ul-Haq, Abdullah Shafique, Hasan Ali, and Naseem Shah.

Pakistani Star Pacer, Shaheen Afridi said on his Comeback in test team:

PCB released multiple statements on Star Bowler Shaheen Afridi on his return to long format games (Test Cricket). Shaheen said, ?I am returning to the Pakistan Test side after a year, and I am very excited. I missed Test cricket a lot, and it was tough for me to be away from Test cricket.?

?After missing our home season due to my injury in Sri Lanka last season, I am excited to make a strong comeback and achieve a century of wickets in Test cricket in the same country.?

Shaheen Afridi played 25 test matches, taking 99 wickets at an average of 24.86. Before going to Sri Lanka, All team members will join the Training camp on 3 July in Karachi. On 9 July, Pakistan Team will leave Pakistan for Sri Lanka.

The Test series schedule is expected to be announced soon by the Sri Lankan Board. Pakistan and Sri Lanka will play the two test match series in the World Test Championship 2023-25 Cycle.
