SL-W vs NZ-W 2023: New Zealand Women's announced their squad for Sri Lanka Tour

SL-W vs NZ-W 2023: New Zealand women?s team announced a 15-member squad for the Sri Lanka tour, which is scheduled from 27 June to 12 July 2023. Sophie Devine will lead the New Zealand women?s team for the Sri Lanka Tour.

The New Zealand women's cricket team will travel to Sri Lanka for a multi-format series, which includes Three ODI and Three T20I. Rosemary Mair and Izzy Gaze returned to the National team after a long time due to Injury.

Fast bowler Rosemary Mair played their last game for New Zealand women against England women during the Commonwealth game in August 2022. She didn?t participate in the women's T20 World Cup 2022 in South Africa due to Injury.

A Wicketkeeper Batter, Izzy Gaze returned to the NZ squad from the Sri Lanka tour as a backup wicket-keeping option for New Zealand. She was a part of the West Indies tour but didn?t get a chance.

The hot and humid weather conditions of Sri Lanka are tough for kiwi players to play cricket at high temperatures. Spin-friendly wickets of Sri Lanka might be challenging for NZ.

New Zealand Women's injury Concern:

New Zealand's Key Bowlers, Lauren Down and Hayley Jensen will not be available for this series as Lauren Down will not play due to some family reasons, whereas Hayley Jensen is still recovering from knee surgery. Both these Bowlers played for New Zealand in the T20 World Cup earlier this year, and Kate Anderson will not play as she is struggling with a finger injury.
