Sourav Ganguly Biopic: Former Indian skipper, Sourav Ganguly has finally agreed to begin shooting his biopic. The cricketer?s biopic will be inspired by his glorious 16 years of international cricket and journey towards becoming BCCI president.

The sources claim that the biopic will be a mega-budget film of around INR 200-250 Crores under a big-banner production house.

?Yes, I have agreed to the biopic,? said Sourav Ganguly when asked about his confirmation.

The BCCI president refrained from revealing any information regarding the director.

"It will be in Hindi but it is not possible to say the name of the director now. It will take a few more days for arranging everything," Ganguly told News18.

The reports say that the script is being written and there have been several meetings between the production house and Sourav Ganguly in recent times.

Ganguly himself revealed that Ranbir Kapoor is the hot favourite to play his part, however, there are two other actors on the list.

The name of the biopic and its release date is yet not revealed by the cricketer and production house.

Ganguly?s biopic will be the sixth biopic which will be made centring the Indian cricketers.

Earlier to this, the biopic on MS Dhoni (MS Dhoni: The Untold Story), Sachin Tendulkar (Sachin: A Billion Dreams), Mohammad Azharuddin (Azhar) have been released.

Two biopics centring Kapil Dev (83) and Mithali Raj (Shabash Mithu) are midway through their productions and will be released soon.
