Strongest New Zealand openers for the ICC T20 World Cup 2021 [Predicted].
ICC T20 World Cup 2021: The New Zealand cricket team is one of the most underrated cricket teams in the world across formats. The kiwis, although, have done invariably well in the past few years in all the formats, the team never succeeded in coping up with their tag of underdogs.
The nation has taken giant strides in international cricket and rose up the ranks to fit in the bracket of the best teams in the world.
The success of their growth definitely goes to their all format cricketers and the New Zealand Cricket Board who have taken certain required steps in all these years.
The kiwis rank third in the shortest format while one in the ODI?s and Test formats.
The country has been successful in producing some of the finest cricketers in all three formats. The likes of Kane Williamson, Trent Boult, Tim Southee, Kyle Jamieson, Ros Taylor and others have been consistent in their performances for the Kiwis.
The article will focus more on the T20Is as the next major ICC event in the T20 World Cup 2021 which will be staged in the UAE and Oman, starting October 17.

Strongest New Zealand openers for the ICC T20 World Cup 2021 [Predicted]:
Martin Guptil & Devon Conway:
The kiwis will be happy to go with the experience of Martin Guptil and the freshness of Devon Conway as the openers in the ICC T20 World Cup 2021.
Guptil is one of the most admirable cricketers in the T20Is. The 34-years cricketer has been around the New Zealand T20I setup for many years now and knows exactly what his team needs from him in different situations.
The senior right-handed kiwi batsman is the second-highest run-scorer in the shortest format in the world with 2939 runs in 102 matches. He plays with an average of 32.29 and strikes at 136.82.
Moreover, the dashing cricketer has two T20I tons under his decorated hat along with 17 half-centuries.
Devon Conway will accompany Guptil in the opening slot for New Zealand. Conway had a good start to all three formats recently.
He smacked a double ton on his test debut against England at the Home of Cricket 'Lords', he has a hundred under his name in ODIs in his just three games participation and has scored 450 runs in 11 T20I innings at an average of 59.12.
Conway earlier used to bat in the middle order for New Zealand in the T20Is, however, successive failure from wicketkeeper-batsman Tim Siefert paved way for him to open the innings.
Siefert amassed mere 27 runs in four T20I innings in the last series against Australia.
New Zealand tried Conway in the opening combination along with Martin Guptil in the last T20I against Australia and the openers put up a 100 runs solid partnership for the first wicket and ensured an easy win for the team.
Surely, the kiwis will be pumped to advance with Martin Guptil and Devon Conway in the ICC T20 World Cup 2021 as openers.
