ICC T20 World Cup 2021: The most anticipated ICC T20 World Cup 2021 is all set to be staged in the UAE and Oman following critical situations in India, which was originally the host nation. The shortest competition of ICC will be played between October 17 to November 14 stated the International Cricket Council (ICC) on Tuesday.
The statement from the global cricketing body came a day after the BCCI confirmed the relocation of the tournament from India to the UAE and Oman.
?The BCCI will remain the hosts of the event, which will now be held in Dubai International Stadium, the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi, the Sharjah Stadium, and the Oman Cricket Academy Ground, from 17 October to 14 November 2021,? the ICC stated.
ICC further said that the first initial qualifying matches between the bottom eight qualifying teams will be held in the UAE and Oman in a split manner.

??the decision gives us the certainty we need to stage the event in a country that is a proven international host of multi-team events in a bio-secure environment.
?We will work closely with the BCCI, the Emirates Cricket Board and Oman Cricket to ensure fans can enjoy a wonderful celebration of cricket.?
Even though the tournament is shifted to the UAE and Oman, the hosting rights will be retained by the BCCI.
BCCI President Sourav Ganguly said that the board would have been happier if they could somehow host the tournament in India but the uncertainty caused by the global pandemic and in the wake of the seriousness of the world competition, BCCI will continue to host the T20 World Cup in the UAE and Oman.
