Probably one of the most unimaginable Innings in the history of T20I was seen from the bat of Dinesh Karthik when he snatched victory from the jaws of defeat for India in the final of the Nidahas Trophy final against Bangladesh in 2018.&nbsp;



During their chase of 165, India was in serious trouble and the batters struggled to find the fence against the consistently tight bowling from the Bangladesh Bowlers. Dinesh came into bat at no.6 when India needed 35 runs off the last 2 overs. Karthik smashed Rubel Hossain's penultimate over for 22 runs which included 2 sixes and 2 fours.&nbsp;



The final over which was bowled by Soumya Sarkar included a lot of drama and suspense. With Vijay Shankar caught in Mid Wicket while trying to find a maximum off the penultimate delivery, India needed 5 runs off the last ball. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is all set to take a review meeting related to Team India's poor performances in Test and ODI cricket of late. The reports in Danik Jagron have revealed that head coach Gautam Gambhir, skipper Rohit Sharma and selector Ajit Agarkar will be questioned. 
The BCCI reportedly is unhappy with the India team's ODI series loss against Sri Lanka, home Test series loss against New Zealand and the poor performances in the ICC World Test Championship.  Hence, the captain and coach will be at the helm of tough questions. 
BCCI President Roger Binny, Vice President Rajiv Shukla, Interim Secretary Devjit Saikia and other officials will be there at the meeting. As per the reports, no harsh decision like sacking will be taking place but questions will be raised over the selection of the team and some other decisions. 
Gautam Gambhir is all set to be grilled as some of his decisions during the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25, like picking two spinners in Sydney, Ravichandran Ashwin's retirement mid-series and also some of the dressing rooms leaks, will be discussed. Along with him Ajit Agarkar too will be facing questions related to selections.

Pakistan has named the 15-member squad for the upcoming two-match Test series against West Indies. Both games will be played at Multan Cricket Stadium in Multan from 17-21 January and 25-29 January. 
Pakistan has made as many as 7 changes to their squad from the Test series against South Africa. Due to the workload management, they have rested some of the key players of the team while out-of-form players too have been dropped from the team for the two-match series. 
From the last series, Shan Masood, Saud Shakeel, Babar Azam, Kamran Ghulam, Khurram Shahzad, Mohammad Rizwan, Noman Ali, and Salman Ali Agha have been rested. Spinners Sajid Khan, Abrar Ahmed and Nouman Ali have been recalled into the team, having played a huge role in the last Test series at home. 
Saim Ayub was ruled out of the squad due to ankle injury while Abdullah Shafique has been dropped due to poor form. In his place, Imam-ul-Haq has been recalled into the side along with Mohammad Huraira, and the duo is likely to form an opening combination. 
Pakistan has given rest to pacers in Aamir Jamal, Mohammad Abbas, Mir Hamza, and Naseem Shah. Hence, Khurram Shahzad, Mohammad Ali and uncapped Kashif Ali will be forming the pace attack for the team in the series against West Indies.
Keeper-batter Haseebullah, who got injured during the South Africa series, wasn't picked due to fitness issues. In his place, uncapped Rohail Nazir has been added to the team. The Test series will also be part of the ICC World Test Championship.

After the success of the first two editions, the third season of the International League T20 (ILT20 2025) is all set to get underway. The first editions raised the bar very high, and now, the much-awaited season will begin on January 11. MI Emirates will start the season as the defending champion.
There are six teams participating this season. A total of 34 matches will be played in this season, including the final. The tournament will be played between January 11 and February 09. This competition will take place in a double round-robin format and then playoffs.
Each team will face the other five opponents twice in the group stage. At the end of the group stage, the top four teams will qualify for the playoffs, while the top two will play in the qualifier round. These matches will be played across three different venues in the UAE: Dubai International Cricket Stadium, Sheikh Zayed Cricket Stadium, and Sharjah Cricket Stadium. Below we will talk about the ILT20 and its details in brief.

The Women's Teams of Australia (AUS) &amp; England (ENG) are set to square off versus each other in a really exciting and fascinating 2025 Women's Ashes event and this historic rivalry is set to unfold in the homeland of the Mighty Australians. Alyssa Healy-led Australia will be hosting a strong English team in a multi-format bilateral series and a Ashes series always promises to be thrilling and entertaining. 
The Aussies had retained the Women's Ashes trophy after holding England to a 8-8 series draw in England. The Heather Knight-led team last won the Ashes way back in 2014-15 where they defeated the Kangaroos by a margin of 10-8 on Australian soil.

As witnessed in the previous edition of the Bilateral event in 2023, the forthcoming Women's Ashes will also be played under the points-system method. This points-system format ensures that the competition stays fierce and thrilling as both teams will be looking to give their best in the forthcoming series. Over the entire course of England's tour of Australia, they will be locking horns in six white-ball encounters and a single one-off Test-Match. If the Test-Match ends in a draw, then both teams will share four points each while if any ODI or T20i match ends in a tie, then two points will be awarded to both teams.

The much-awaited announcement for the upcoming ICC Champions Trophy 2025 is likely to be delayed. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has requested the International Cricket Council (ICC) to give some more time to announce the provisional squad. Notably, the deadline for all teams to submit their provisional squad for the upcoming mega event is January 12.
However, some media reports confirmed that the Indian board is in jeopardy with a few headaches for selection. India are scheduled to host England for five T20Is and three ODIs between January 22 and February 12. After this series, they will fly to the UAE, where they will play their matches in the upcoming ICC Champions Trophy 2025.
Notably, India's refusal to travel to Pakistan forced the ICC to adapt the hybrid model, where India will be playing their matches at a neutral venue. But the squad for the mega event will be delayed by the coming week.

Earlier, the squad announcement was scheduled to be revealed on Sunday. However, as reported by Cricbuzz, the Indian board needs a bit more time as they have approached the ICC for this. Team India want to be fully prepared and cover all the bases before the mega event. But the biggest reason for the delay can be the fitness of ace pacer Jasprit Bumrah. He has been nursing a back injury and has consulted a specialist in New Zealand. India want to be clear about his availability, but if he misses the tournament, it will be a massive setback for Rohit Sharma and his men.
The Indian board is in talks with the orthopedic doctor directly to assess the conditions. Some media agencies have reported that the final decision on Bumrah's availability will be taken after reviewing his scan reports, which are likely to be available in the coming days. That is the prime reason behind the delay in the squad announcement.
Meanwhile, India have some other headaches related to other players.
