<p>As 12 Teams out of 16 Teams qualified for the Super SIX stage in the ICC U19 World Cup 2024, the teams are now divided into two groups- Group 1 and Group 2. The top three teams from Group A and three teams from Group D combined to form Group 1 and three teams from Group B and Three teams from Group C combined to form Group 2.</p>



<p>Now, Group 1 consists of India, Pakistan, New Zealand, Bangladesh, Ireland, and Nepal whereas Group 2 fills Australia, England, South Africa, West Indies, Sri Lanka, and Zimbabwe.</p>



<p>The Super SIX teams will carry forward points and NRR from the 2 matches of Group Stage against the teams that have qualified for the Super Six and here in the Super Six round, they are scheduled to play two games each. That means the final points table will form when all the teams will play at least 4 games.</p>



<p>As of now, India is leading the board in Group 1. They have won all three games in the Group stage defeating Bangladesh U19, Ireland U19 and USA U19 with some healthy margins. They carry forward a high Net Run Rate of +2.850 with 4 points. Following them are Pakistan U19 with +1.356 NRR and 4 Points.</p>

<p>Ireland U19 is the bottom-most team of Group 1 with an NRR of -2.227. They have no points till now and so does Nepal. Nepal is placed 5th and have an NRR of -0.800.</p>



<p>When it comes to Group 2, Australia U19 are right at the top with a healthy net run rate of +2.340 and possess 4 points. Sri Lanka U19 follow them with an NRR of +0.431. West Indies and South Africa are placed 3rd and 4th respectively and England U19 found a 5th spot at the start of Super Six and hopefully, they will go up in the table.</p>

<p><strong>ICC U19 World Cup 2024</strong>: The ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup witnessed three encounters on Friday, February 2: India U19 vs Nepal U19, Australia U19 vs West Indies U19, and South Africa U19 vs Sri Lanka U19. <p>India secured a commanding 132-run victory over Nepal, successfully defending a target of 170 runs. Opting to bat first, the Uday Sharan-led team had a decent start, with openers Arshin Kulkarni (18 runs in 30 balls) and Adarsh Singh (21 runs in 18 balls) forming an initial partnership of 26 runs. However, the latter was dismissed by Nepali right-arm pacer Gulsan Jha in the fifth over of the Indian innings.</p>



<p>Following Adarsh Singh's dismissal, Priyanshu Moliya (19 runs in 36 balls) joined Arshin Kulkarni at the crease, and they built a partnership of 32 runs for the second wicket. Unfortunately, their collaboration ended when Priyanshu got run out off the bowling of Aakash Chand in the 14th over. Aakash Chand also claimed the wicket of Arshin Kulkarni on the final ball of the 14th over, as Arshin nicked the ball behind into the gloves of Nepali wicketkeeper Uttam Magar as Nepal restricted India to 62-3 in 14 overs.</p>



<p>However, it took Nepal 33 more overs to secure another breakthrough as the partnership between Sachin Dhas and Captain Uday Sharan dominated the game. Sachin Dhas played the role of the aggressor in their 215-run partnership, smashing 116 runs in 101 balls at a strike rate of 114.85. After Sachin's dismissal, Captain Uday Sharan continued to lead from the front, contributing 100 runs in 107 balls as the Boys in Blue concluded their innings with a total score of 297 runs in 50 overs.</p>

<p>In response, Nepal's Under-19 team had a promising start with a 48-run opening partnership between Deepak Bohara (22 runs in 42 balls) and Arjun Kamal (26 runs in 64 balls). However, the dismissal of both batters by Raj Limbani (1-25) and left-arm spinner Saumy Pandey (4-29) triggered a collapse in Nepal's batting unit. They concluded the game with a score of 165 runs for the loss of nine wickets in their allotted 50 overs, leading to the Boys in Blue winning the match by 132 runs.</p>



<p>Nepal's pace bowler Gulsan Jha (3-56), Indian spinner Saumy Pandey (4-29), and medium-pacer Arshin Kulkarni (2-18) emerged as the standout bowlers in the match.</p>



<p>The match between Australia U19 and West Indies U19 ended up getting washed out due to the interruption of rain, while South Africa defeated Sri Lanka by a margin of 119 runs.</p>



<p>In Group 1 of the Super Six, Defending Champions India U19 have shown some really dominant performances as they have managed to win all their two Super Six games against Nepal and New Zealand, while they also won all three of their group stage matches against the likes of Bangladesh, the USA, and Ireland. Therefore, the boys in blue are at the top of their Super Six group with 8 points in four matches and an excellent run rate of +3.155. The Uday Saharan-led team is also the first team from Group 1 to qualify for the semi-finals of the 2024 U19 World Cup.</p>



<p>Arch-rivals Pakistan are not that far behind with six points, as they are on an unbeaten run as well, having won three out of three matches, but with a less impressive run rate of +1.064. Bangladesh U19 advanced to third place after beating Nepal, with four points from three games and a net run rate of +0.348.</p>



<p>New Zealand U19's lone victory over Nepal gained two points for their team and a -1.915 net run rate. Ireland U19 are at number five in the points table with zero victories in three games, and Nepal have remained winless in all four matches and are at number 6 in the overall standings.</p>

<p>Talking about the Super Six Group 2, Australia U19 (7 points) are currently at the top of the table with three consecutive victories against the likes of Zimbabwe, Sri Lanka, and arch-rivals England. Their recent encounter against the West Indies was washed out due to the interruption of rain. The Aussies have a net run rate of +2.781 in four matches.</p>



<p>South Africa U19 are the second group-two team to qualify for the semi-finals, as they finished at number two in the points table with six points in four games, having won three encounters against Sri Lanka, the West Indies, and Zimbabwe. They lost one match against England. The proteas have a net run rate of +1.683.</p>



<p>The Windies finished their Super Six stage at number 3 with five points as they won two out of their four matches, while one match against Australia was washed out due to rain. West Indies has a net run rate of +0.134 in four matches.</p>



<p>Sri Lanka U19 and England U19 are in the fourth and fifth positions, with two points each after four and three matches, respectively. Sri Lanka are ahead of England due to their weaker 1.241 net run rate. <p>India U19 were the first team from Group 1 to qualify for the semifinal. While Australia U19 and South Africa U19 have already qualified for the semifinal from Group 2. India U19 have locked up their Semifinal contest against South Africa U19 on 6 February. </p>

<p>Jamie Dunk smashed 76 runs in the playoff match against Namibia U19 and led his team to the win. He holds the third position of the most runs tally. Pakistani Left-handed opener Shahzaib KHAN holds the third position. He has been exceptional right from the start of the tournament. <p>The defending champions of the ICC U19 World Cup Trophy are India U19 under the leadership of Yash Dhull. The current India U19 team is led by Uday Saharan who has carried the legacy forward and India are into yet another semifinals with the most favorable team to lift the cup.</p>

<p>In the current season of the ICC U19 World Cup, 38 matches were played between 16 teams in the course of 16 days and neither of the contests was uneventful. Runs were flowing, stumps were shredded, and young teenagers wrote their own stories on the international stage with extraordinary skill sets.</p>



<p>Two groups were formed and the 12 teams played in the Super Six stage, each consisting of 6 teams. After the Super Six round is concluded, the top two teams from each group are qualified for the elimination round or semi-final round.</p>

<p>The first semifinal is scheduled to be played between India U19 and South Africa U19. They will play each other on 6 February, Tuesday at Willowmoore Park, Benoni. </p>

<p>The final of the tournament will be played between the winners of the semifinal 1 and semifinal 2. The match is slated to be played on 11 February.</p>

<p>Pakistan U19 vs Bangladesh U19 was the main event of the day where the winner (with conditions) will advance to the semifinals of the tournament. Pakistan had a poor start batting first when the scoring rate was too slow and they also lost two wickets under 11 overs. The run rate went lower and lower which put pressure on each upcoming batter and tight bowling from Bangladeshi bowlers bundled up Pakistan's innings in just 155 runs.</p>

<p>A future star for Pakistan- Ubaid Shah. What a bowler he is! Two early wickets of Bangladesh put them on the back foot. Two wickets in his first spell, one wicket in the 2nd, and again two crucial wickets in the last spell, and Ubaid Shah picked up a World Cup fifer. At one stage, Bangladesh needed 33 runs and they had 4 wickets in hand. They had plenty of overs to go past the score but brilliant bowling spells from Ubaid and Raza snatched the match away from them and booked their semifinal ticket with a narrow 5-run win.</p>



<p>New Zealand U19 vs Ireland U19 was the last Group 1 match on February 3 and the Blackcaps U19 were the most disappointing team in the entire tournament. They were asked to bowl first and they even managed to get two early breakthroughs within the first powerplay but still let Ireland U19 go past the 250 mark. </p>



<p>Considering the batting form of New Zealand, the par 267-run target looked way above par. A slow start and an early wicket and Ireland were all over the game again. The Kiwis lost wickets in every 30-40 runs and rain interrupted after 32.1 overs when NZ U19 were 131 for 5 down and didn't allow to restart the match. New Zealand were found 41 runs away from the DLS score and Ireland U19 won the match.</p>



<p>England U19 vs Zimbabwe U19 was the last Super Six Round match where the former thrashed the latter by a big margin of 146 runs. Batting first, England scored an average score of 237 runs. Defending the target, England's bowlers were able to pick wickets in short intervals which didn't let Zimbabwe set themselves up for the chase and England won the match.</p>

<p><strong>ICC U19 World Cup 2024:</strong> In what promises to be an intriguing match, defending champions India U19 and South Africa U19 are all set to face off in the first semi-final of the U19 ODI World Cup on February 6th at Willowmoore Park in Benoni. The match begins at 1:30 p.m. IST.</p>



<p>India has been on a winning streak from the start of the group stage games, and they finished first in their group after winning all three group stage matches against Bangladesh, the United States, and Ireland. Even in the Super Six, the Boys in Blue easily defeated New Zealand and Nepal, acquiring the first position in Super Six Group 1 with eight points. Uday Sharan's Boys in Blue dominated the game against New Zealand U19, winning by 214 runs. In the following game against Nepal, the Uday Saharan-led team won by 132 runs, effectively defending a 297-run goal. The Indians are in excellent form and will be eager to beat the Junior Proteas in the semi-finals and go to another U19 World Cup final.</p>



<p>South Africa U19 had a satisfactory group stage, securing comfortable victories against the West Indies and Scotland, although they faced defeat against England in their second group stage match. Transitioning into the Super Six, the Proteas showcased impressive form with convincing wins over Zimbabwe and Sri Lanka. Against Zimbabwe U19, the Junior Proteas clinched victory by nine wickets. In their match against Sri Lanka, Kwena Maphaka's six-wicket haul and Riley Norton's four-wicket contribution propelled the Junior Proteas to a convincing 119-run win over the Island Nation's team. Now, the Junior Proteas aim to disrupt India's momentum by defeating them in the semi-finals.</p>



<p>Talking about India?s playing 11 for the match against South Africa, Adarsh Singh and Arshin Kulkarni are expected to open the innings for the Boys in Blue in the first semi-final match of the 2024 U19 World Cup. Adarsh Singh has been in really good form with the bat, as he has scored 191 runs in five matches, including two half centuries, and those two 50+ run innings came against the likes of New Zealand U19 (52 runs) and Bangladesh U19 (76 runs). Adarsh would be looking to play another good knock against South Africa and help his team qualify for another U19 World Cup Final.</p>



<p>Arshin Kulkarni, Adarsh Singh's opening partner and batting all-rounder, has 174 runs under his belt at an average of 34.80, including one century against the USA U19 (108 runs). Aside from his 108-run effort, Arshin has not done much with the bat, and he will need to produce large runs if he wants to ensure that India avoids struggling against South Africa's formidable bowling attack.</p>



<p>The brother of Sarfaraz Khan and the highest run getter in the current edition of the 2024 U19 World Cup, Musheer Khan, is expected to come in to bat at number three. With the bat, Musheer has managed to score 334 runs in five matches at an unbelievable average of 83.50, which includes two centuries and one half century. His first hundred came against Ireland in India?s second group stage match, where he played a brilliant knock of 118 runs, which consisted of nine fours and four sixes.</p>

<p>He then played the best knock of this tournament against New Zealand when he scored 131 runs in 126 balls at a strike rate of 103.96. With his left-arm orthodox bowling, he has dismissed batters four times in five games, with his best figures being 2-10 against New Zealand. Musheer would be looking to perform at his best once again against South Africa and help India defeat the Junior Proteas in the first semi-final.</p>



<p>Indian skipper Uday Saharan would come in to bat at number four, and he has been nothing short of excellent with the bat for the Indians. He?s the second-highest run scorer in this year?s U19 World Cup, as he has managed to get 308 runs in his bag in five matches, which consists of one century and two fifties. He scored his lone century of 100 runs in the previous match against Nepal, and he would like to play another big knock against South Africa.</p>



<p>CSK wicketkeeper Aravelly Avanish will be donning the wicket-keeping gloves against South Africa in the semi-final. He has been really good with his glovework, but with the bat, he hasn?t done much, as he has yet to register a single fifty in this year?s U19 World Cup. He has scored just 74 runs in five matches, with a best score of 23 runs. He would like to improve with the bat and help his side deal with the threat of South Africa in the semi-final.</p>



<p>Priyanshu Molliya will be batting at number six, and he will be expected to play the role of the finisher. He has been decent with the bat, and he would be looking to provide the Indians with a good finish in the later half of their batting innings.</p>



<p>The number seven position will be occupied by Sachin Dhas. Though his primary role is that of a finisher, he showed in the match against Nepal that he can play the role of a proper middle-order batter and inning stabilizer with his knock of 116 runs at a strike rate of 114.85. He can bat higher up the order as well, according to the demands of the situation, and he will play an important role in India?s success against South Africa.</p>



<p>Murugan Abhishek, Naman Tiwari, Raj Limbani, and Saumy Pandey will form the bowling unit of the Boys in Blue. Murugan Abhishek and Saumy Pandey will be the main spinners of the Boys in Blue, while Naman Tiwari and Raj Limbani will play the roles of the fast bowlers.</p>

India U19 defeated the home team South Africa U19 in semifinal 1 and became the first team in the ongoing tournament to officially qualify for the U19 World Cup final.</p>

<p>Brilliant knock of 96 by Sachin Dhas and 81 by Uday Saharan ensured India's ticket to yet another final of the U19 World Cup. India are now the first finalists of the tournament and they will play the winner of Australia U19 vs Pakistan U19 (semifinal 2) in the finals of the tournament.</p>

<p>India won the toss and invited the home team to bat first. It just took 17 balls from Limbani to give India a happy start at the top and remove the aggressive Steve Stolk. Soon he took David Teeger on a Duck. The wicketkeeper-batter Lhuan-dre Pretorius and Richard Seletswane weaved a 70-odd runs partnership and Musheer Khan broke the partnership by dismissing Pretorius playing at 73 runs.</p>

<p>Oliver Whitehead charged at Musheer Khan but ended up being his second scalp. <p>India U19 needed 245 runs in 300 balls and they got the worst possible start at the top as the in-form opener Adarsh Singh went back to the pavilion on the very first ball of the innings. India's highest run scorer in the tournament Musheer Khan, Kulkarni and Priyanshy Moliya were knocked out by exceptional bowling performances by Tristan Luus and were 4 down in just 32 runs in a chase of 245.</p>



<p>Again, the saviors from the last match, i.e., skipper Uday Saharan and Sachin Dhas came to the rescue. They both first relaxed down the pressure and then unleashed the counterattack. They together added 180 runs for the 5th wicket where Sachin Dhas played the anchor role and smacked 96 runs in 95 balls. He missed his century by just 4 runs and fell prey to Kwena Maphaka.</p>

<p>India U19 still needed 45 runs off 8 overs. Uday was watchful at the other end and didn't allow South African bowlers to build pressure. India lost two quick wickets in 3 balls which gave the home team a glimpse of hope but Raj Limbani entered the square with another plan. He smacked a six when India were going under pressure. India needed 2 runs when the skipper got run out at 81 runs but Raj Limbani ensured India's ticket to the final with no further damage and India won the game by 2 wickets.</p>

<p>The U19 World Cup 2024 semifinal 1 was a pure entertainer where the game was wavering throughout the course of 50 overs of the chase. India U19 who have always batted first in the tournament took a bold decision of bowling first in the semifinal after winning the toss. </p>

<p>Even after losing four wickets for thirty-two runs in 12 overs, Sachin Dhas and captain Uday Saharan managed to hold onto the crease. After they forged a strong partnership of more than 170 runs, Saharan and Sachin Dhas's outstanding stand helped India pull off a thrilling chase.</p>

<p>A bit of a fumble towards the end where India lost two wickets for just a run and the skipper also got runout, but Raj Limbani ensured no further damage and took the team home with a boundary. India U19 won the game by two wickets.</p>

In addition to captain Uday Saharan and top-order batsman Musheer Khan, who are in peak form, Sachin Dhas also owns a century and a 96. <p>Batting first, Pakistan got a slow start and Tom Straker went through the top wickets. The highest run scorer for Pakistan in tournament Shahzaib Khan wasn't able to connent bat to the ball. Azan Awais and Arafat Minhas went past individual 50s and eight pakistani batters were out for a single digit score. That left Pakistan a just 179 runs in the end of their innings.</p>



<p>All would have thought it is an easy chase for Australia but not against Pakistan. Australia aslo got a sluggish start and lost wickets in quick successions. Opener Harry Dixon struck 50 and Oliver Peake scored important 49 runs in the middle when Australia were struggling. Australia needed 16 runs when they were 9 down. Raf MacMilllan played a supreb knock and took the team home. Australia won the game by 1 wicket.</p>

<p>In addition to leading the side to win with his outstanding 81-run knock, Indian skipper Uday Saharan also set a new record for most runs scored in six matches with 389 runs. In terms of batting statistics, he is followed by Indian batsman Musheer Khan. Khan is now the second-highest run scorer in the competition after six games with 338 runs scored.</p>



<p>Third place goes to Sachin Dhas. The fact that Indian hitters hold the top three spots for most runs scored is pretty intriguing and another evidence of their domination in the competition. With a total of 287 runs, Lhuan-Dre PRETORIUS of South Africa sits in fourth place. His journey came to an end in this competition after loss against India.</p>
