<p><strong>ICC U19 World Cup 2024 Points Table Super 6:</strong> The Super SIX stage of the ICC Under-19 World Cup 2024 is just about to commence today on 30 January with the first match of the ICC U19 World Cup 2024 Super SIX between India U19 and New Zealand U19 of Group 1. India U19 is leading Group 1 and Australia is leading Group 2 in the newly formed Super SIX Points Table. <p>As 12 Teams out of 16 Teams qualified for the Super SIX stage in the ICC U19 World Cup 2024, the teams are now divided into two groups- Group 1 and Group 2. The top three teams from Group A and three teams from Group D combined to form Group 1 and three teams from Group B and Three teams from Group C combined to form Group 2.</p>



<p>Now, Group 1 consists of India, Pakistan, New Zealand, Bangladesh, Ireland, and Nepal whereas Group 2 fills Australia, England, South Africa, West Indies, Sri Lanka, and Zimbabwe.</p>



<p>The Super SIX teams will carry forward points and NRR from the 2 matches of Group Stage against the teams that have qualified for the Super Six and here in the Super Six round, they are scheduled to play two games each. That means the final points table will form when all the teams will play at least 4 games.</p>



<p>As of now, India is leading the board in Group 1. They have won all three games in the Group stage defeating Bangladesh U19, Ireland U19 and USA U19 with some healthy margins. They carry forward a high Net Run Rate of +2.850 with 4 points. Following them are Pakistan U19 with +1.356 NRR and 4 Points.</p>

<p>Ireland U19 is the bottom-most team of Group 1 with an NRR of -2.227. They have no points till now and so does Nepal. Nepal is placed 5th and have an NRR of -0.800.</p>



<p>When it comes to Group 2, Australia U19 are right at the top with a healthy net run rate of +2.340 and possess 4 points. Sri Lanka U19 follow them with an NRR of +0.431. West Indies and South Africa are placed 3rd and 4th respectively and England U19 found a 5th spot at the start of Super Six and hopefully, they will go up in the table.</p>

<p><strong>ICC U19 World Cup 2024: </strong>India U19 have successfully qualified for the ICC U19 World Cup 2024 semifinal. India U19 defeated Nepal U19 in their second Super Six game and became the first team from Group 1 in the ongoing tournament to officially qualify for the U19 World Cup semifinal. </p>

<p>The 33rd match of the U19 ICC main event was played between India and Nepal which also was the last match of Team India in the Super Six stage of the U19 World Cup. India and Nepal were placed in Group 1 along with Pakistan, New Zealand, Ireland, and Bangladesh. Nepal, Ireland, and New Zealand are now officially out of the race and the competition is between Pakistan and Bangladesh for the second seat.</p>



<p>Pakistan and Bangladesh are scheduled to battle on 3 Feb. Bangladesh have to win the match by a big margin in order to elevate their NRR. Currently, Bangladesh sit 3rd in the points table with 4 points and NRR of +0.384 and Pakistan are second with an NRR of +1.064.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="india-u-19-vs-nepal-u-19-match-summary"><strong>India U19 vs Nepal U19: Match Summary</strong></h2>



<p>In the India U19 vs Nepal U19, the former won the flip of the coin and opted to bat first. Adarsh Singh gave a quick start to the team but lost his wicket early. In the 14th over, India lost two back-to-back wickets and looked in trouble. Uday Saharan and Sachin Dhas were new batsmen on the crease. </p>



<p>They both charged the counter-attack from both ends. Both scored magnificent centuries individually with a strike rate of around 100 and took absolute control of the game. Following their hundreds, India U19 posted a huge total of 298 total for Nepal.</p>

<p>In the chase, Nepal U19 got a slow but steady start, allowing Indian bowlers to build pressure. Raj Limbani drew the first blood in the 13th over. Saumy Pandey joined the party soon and took 3 wickets within 8 balls. Arshin took the next two wickets in two overs, that made the game for India. </p>



<p>Skipper Dev Khanal fought till the end but that was never going to be enough. Saumy Pandey was too good as he bagged another four-fer and he has scalped 16 wickets now in the tournament.</p>



<p>Durgesh Gupta played a classic cameo towards the end but just to lower the defeat margin. India U19 restricted Nepal U19 under 165 runs and India U19 won the match by 132 runs. </p>

<p>Pakistan U19 vs Bangladesh U19 was the main event of the day where the winner (with conditions) will advance to the semifinals of the tournament. Pakistan had a poor start batting first when the scoring rate was too slow and they also lost two wickets under 11 overs. The run rate went lower and lower which put pressure on each upcoming batter and tight bowling from Bangladeshi bowlers bundled up Pakistan's innings in just 155 runs.</p>

<p>A future star for Pakistan- Ubaid Shah. What a bowler he is! Two early wickets of Bangladesh put them on the back foot. Two wickets in his first spell, one wicket in the 2nd, and again two crucial wickets in the last spell, and Ubaid Shah picked up a World Cup fifer. At one stage, Bangladesh needed 33 runs and they had 4 wickets in hand. They had plenty of overs to go past the score but brilliant bowling spells from Ubaid and Raza snatched the match away from them and booked their semifinal ticket with a narrow 5-run win.</p>



<p>New Zealand U19 vs Ireland U19 was the last Group 1 match on February 3 and the Blackcaps U19 were the most disappointing team in the entire tournament. They were asked to bowl first and they even managed to get two early breakthroughs within the first powerplay but still let Ireland U19 go past the 250 mark. </p>



<p>Considering the batting form of New Zealand, the par 267-run target looked way above par. A slow start and an early wicket and Ireland were all over the game again. The Kiwis lost wickets in every 30-40 runs and rain interrupted after 32.1 overs when NZ U19 were 131 for 5 down and didn't allow to restart the match. New Zealand were found 41 runs away from the DLS score and Ireland U19 won the match.</p>



<p>England U19 vs Zimbabwe U19 was the last Super Six Round match where the former thrashed the latter by a big margin of 146 runs. Batting first, England scored an average score of 237 runs. Defending the target, England's bowlers were able to pick wickets in short intervals which didn't let Zimbabwe set themselves up for the chase and England won the match.</p>

India U19 won the match in the end by 2 wickets but the match was hanging in balance throughout. An exceptional comeback of India from where they were in the first 12 overs. South Africa were losing it but back-to-back wickets towards the end revived them a little but it was India, who won the game.</p>



<p>Brilliant knock of 96 by Sachin Dhas and 81 by Uday Saharan ensured India's ticket to yet another final of the U19 World Cup. India are now the first finalists of the tournament and they will play the winner of Australia U19 vs Pakistan U19 (semifinal 2) in the finals of the tournament.</p>

<p>India won the toss and invited the home team to bat first. It just took 17 balls from Limbani to give India a happy start at the top and remove the aggressive Steve Stolk. Soon he took David Teeger on a Duck. The wicketkeeper-batter Lhuan-dre Pretorius and Richard Seletswane weaved a 70-odd runs partnership and Musheer Khan broke the partnership by dismissing Pretorius playing at 73 runs.</p>

<p>Oliver Whitehead charged at Musheer Khan but ended up being his second scalp. Cameos from skipper James and Tristan Luus helped South Africa to reach a par score of 244 runs in 50 overs.</p>



<p>India U19 needed 245 runs in 300 balls and they got the worst possible start at the top as the in-form opener Adarsh Singh went back to the pavilion on the very first ball of the innings. India's highest run scorer in the tournament Musheer Khan, Kulkarni and Priyanshy Moliya were knocked out by exceptional bowling performances by Tristan Luus and were 4 down in just 32 runs in a chase of 245.</p>



<p>Again, the saviors from the last match, i.e., skipper Uday Saharan and Sachin Dhas came to the rescue. They both first relaxed down the pressure and then unleashed the counterattack. They together added 180 runs for the 5th wicket where Sachin Dhas played the anchor role and smacked 96 runs in 95 balls. He missed his century by just 4 runs and fell prey to Kwena Maphaka.</p>

<p>India U19 still needed 45 runs off 8 overs. Uday was watchful at the other end and didn't allow South African bowlers to build pressure. India lost two quick wickets in 3 balls which gave the home team a glimpse of hope but Raj Limbani entered the square with another plan. He smacked a six when India were going under pressure. India needed 2 runs when the skipper got run out at 81 runs but Raj Limbani ensured India's ticket to the final with no further damage and India won the game by 2 wickets.</p>

<p>The U19 World Cup 2024 semifinal 1 was a pure entertainer where the game was wavering throughout the course of 50 overs of the chase. India U19 who have always batted first in the tournament took a bold decision of bowling first in the semifinal after winning the toss. </p>



<p>South Africa's offensive play in the early and late stages of their innings allowed them to attain a respectable score despite a significant slowdown in the middle overs. The home team posted the target of 245 in 50 overs courtesy of 64 from Richard and 76 from wicketkeeper-batter Pritorious.</p>



<p>Even after losing four wickets for thirty-two runs in 12 overs, Sachin Dhas and captain Uday Saharan managed to hold onto the crease. After they forged a strong partnership of more than 170 runs, Saharan and Sachin Dhas's outstanding stand helped India pull off a thrilling chase.</p>

<p>A bit of a fumble towards the end where India lost two wickets for just a run and the skipper also got runout, but Raj Limbani ensured no further damage and took the team home with a boundary. India U19 won the game by two wickets.</p>



<p>Indian youths are exhibiting some of the finest performances on the pitch, which has given them a lot of confidence. In addition to captain Uday Saharan and top-order batsman Musheer Khan, who are in peak form, Sachin Dhas also owns a century and a 96. <p>Kwena Maphaka was a tournament mvp for South Africa. He collected three fifers and a total of 21 scalps. <p>Batting first, Pakistan got a slow start and Tom Straker went through the top wickets. The highest run scorer for Pakistan in tournament Shahzaib Khan wasn't able to connent bat to the ball. Azan Awais and Arafat Minhas went past individual 50s and eight pakistani batters were out for a single digit score. That left Pakistan a just 179 runs in the end of their innings.</p>



<p>All would have thought it is an easy chase for Australia but not against Pakistan. Australia aslo got a sluggish start and lost wickets in quick successions. Opener Harry Dixon struck 50 and Oliver Peake scored important 49 runs in the middle when Australia were struggling. Australia needed 16 runs when they were 9 down. Raf MacMilllan played a supreb knock and took the team home. Australia won the game by 1 wicket.</p>

<p>In addition to leading the side to win with his outstanding 81-run knock, Indian skipper Uday Saharan also set a new record for most runs scored in six matches with 389 runs. In terms of batting statistics, he is followed by Indian batsman Musheer Khan. Khan is now the second-highest run scorer in the competition after six games with 338 runs scored.</p>



<p>Third place goes to Sachin Dhas. The fact that Indian hitters hold the top three spots for most runs scored is pretty intriguing and another evidence of their domination in the competition. With a total of 287 runs, Lhuan-Dre PRETORIUS of South Africa sits in fourth place. His journey came to an end in this competition after loss against India.</p>

The ICC U19 Women’s T20 World Cup 2025 is just two weeks away, and the excitement is building as 16 teams from across the globe gear up for this epic showdown. The tournament kicks off on January 18, promising two weeks of thrilling cricket action.</p>

<p><strong>IND vs ENG 3rd T20I: </strong>After the Chennai setback, a much better performance by England tonight kept them alive in the five-match T20I series. England won the third T20I by 26 runs. <span>The scoreline now stands 2-1 in favor of India with a couple of T20Is remaining. </span></p>
<p><span>India were in a strong position after the first innings, with a brilliant bowling performance putting them on top. However, England executed their plans well in the second innings and managed to defend the total comfortably in the end, tightening their grip as the match progressed. Despite India’s early promise, the pressure mounted, and the top order’s failure ultimately proved costly, leaving them with too much to do.<br></span></p>
