ENGvsIND: Team India?s senior lanky pacer Ishant Sharma found himself surrounded by a barrage of questions following his indifferent show in the recently held England vs India 3rd test match which the visitors lost by a margin of an innings and 76 runs. The experts believe that Ishant Sharma is likely to get an axe from the playing11 for the remaining two matches.



The speedster had the worst figures from the third test match. Sharma gave away 92 runs in 22 overs without a maiden over and looked jaded. Moreover, he bowled with an average speed of late 120s and early 130s.



The lousy outing of the pacer has raised questions over his fitness. Bowling below his average speed gave a slight indication that the pacer is not completely fit and which has apparently also stunned his fans.



There were no clarifications on whether Ishant was completely fit or not. Virat Kohli during the post-match presentation and video conference refrained from answering questions relating to Ishant Sharma.



However, Kohli did indicate in coming up with a few changes in the playing11 in the next match at Kennington Oval. India and England will begin the fourth test match at Oval London, starting September 2.

ENGvsIND: With the England vs India 4th Test match evenly poised at the stumps on day two, the former Indian cricketer VVS Laxman has made his early guess for the winner of the match. Keeping his faith in a world-class Indian batting unit, Laxman feels that Virat Kohli and Co. will emerge out as the clear winner of the test match.?



However, Laxman did assert that if India gets collapsed in a flatter wicket here in Oval, this will be a huge chagrin for Indian cricket.?

"The penetration wasn't visible from the Indian bowlers. The intensity wasn't there apart from a couple of spells where the ball zipped through the surface. ENGvsIND: Indian head coach Ravi Shastri is all set to miss out on the upcoming 5th Test match at Manchester after he was again tested covid positive. Along with him, bowling coach Bharat Arun and fielding coach R. Sridhar have also returned covid positive.



As per the report shared by ANI, the three Indian coaches are in complete isolation and will only come out once they show negative results in two consecutive covid tests. The aforementioned will also miss the Manchester test against England which is scheduled between 10-14 September.



"Unfortunately, their RT-PCR test results are positive and they will all need to undergo isolation and can come out only after returning two negative results,? said ANI in a report.

Shastri along with three others were isolated hours before the start of day four in the Oval Test. Fortunately, none of the players were found covid positive. "Ravi bhai felt ill on Saturday night around 8 PM. He was having a little bit of discomfort yesterday, the medical team decided to go for a lateral flow test and it came out positive and that is when we all found that he is positive. The close contacts were identified and isolated,?? said Vikram Rathour in the press conference.



Rathore said that the team is missing the presence of three coaches, but at the same time lauded the boys for handling themselves nicely throughout the test.



??Of course, we are missing Ravi bhai massively. Ravi bhai, Bharat Arun, and R Sridhar have been an extremely important part of this setup, they have done well in the past five-six years and they have played a major role in the team doing well.



This is what it is, they are not here. In the morning, it was a bit of a distraction, we had a word and we decided we need to focus on the cricket. We are here for this series, and I think the boys did well to not get distracted. There was a potential we could have been distracted, the credit needs to go to the boys for the way they handled themselves," Rathour said.



The fourth test match is evenly poised as of now with a bit of stress on the English camp. India has managed to send to English batsman to the dressing room on the first session of day five.



Opener Rory Burns went after completing his half-century while Dawid Malan was run out in the middle.&nbsp;



Team India has a good lead of 237 runs at the lunch on day five while English skipper Joe Root and opener Haseeb Hameed are batting in the middle.

"His lower back pain flared in recent weeks, leading the NSP to make the longer-term decision for Marsh to complete a more extended period of rehabilitation. Marsh will now undergo a period of further rest and rehabilitation as part of his return-to-play plan. The NSP will meet to decide on a replacement for Marsh in due course." Mitchell Marsh getting ruled out of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 comes as a huge blow. The all-rounder has been the key member of the team in the white-ball cricket. Since 2023, he has been sensational with the bat, as he has averaged 44.54 in ODIs with a strike rate of 109.13. Along with this, he also has been handy with the ball. 
Cricket Australia are also mulling over the fitness of captain Pat Cummins as well. The pacer has been struggling with the ankle injury and there is no clarity over him as well. If both Marsh and Cummins get ruled out, then there will be headaches for the management as they won't have a captaincy option. 
Steve Smith and Travis Head might be asked to take over the role then. Josh Inglis also is there as he recently led the team in home summer, both in T20Is and ODIs.
