Delhi Capitals (DC) skipper Rishabh Pant marked his comeback in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 with a 13-ball 18-run knock against Punjab Kings (PBKS) a few weeks ago. The batter, though, couldn't make his mark in the first two outings, but he managed to turn up the heat with his blistering knocks in the last two matches.



Pant scored two consecutive half-centuries in his team's last two matches against Chennai Super Kings and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) to announce his arrival in the IPL 2024. The glovesman took his side to the victory after playing a 23-ball 51-run knock, while his valiant 25-ball 55-run knock against KKR kept his side in the fray for a long time.



Notably, the last two performances from Rishabh Pant give some hope to the batter for his international comeback after suffering a near-fatal car accident on 31st December 2022. The wicketkeeper batter battled out all the injuries and paved the way to again play cricket in record time.



After his IPL comeback, Rishabh Pant is on track to make his Team India comeback as well, believes Michael Clarke, former Australian cricketer.



Pant, with his brilliant display of batting in the last two games, has certainly knocked on the selector's doors for his selection in Team India's squad for the upcoming T20 World Cup 2024. 



Clarke congratulated the cricketer for undergoing months of hard work off the field to make a comeback in record time.

I think the work that has gone into his rehab to get back to that level of play at any standard is an amazing achievement. He deserves a lot of credit for his hard work and it's great to see him on the field, captaining and playing well, batting and keeping.?



The Aussie broadcaster reckons that everyone is delighted to see Rishabh Pant back on the field after a long wait of more than a year. He further wished to see him back in India's jersey for the upcoming T20 World Cup 2024.



?I saw the Delhi physio run out to the field a couple of times to check on him, so hopefully he's pulled out okay, the positives are in the presentation he said he was fine and hopefully a day off or a couple of days off and he will be ready for the next game. He's a wonderful player and everybody is happy that he's back on the field and we want to see him play for Delhi, but we also want to see him come back and play for India as soon as possible.?



The <a href="https://www.icc-cricket.com/tournaments/t20cricketworldcup">T20 World Cup 2024</a> is set to begin on June 1 with the USA taking on Canada in the tournament opener. The elite tournament will be held across the venues in the USA and West Indies. India will begin its run in the event on June 5 against Ireland. BGT: Australia's legendary former captain Michael Clarke has given valuable advice to the Kangaroos ahead of the forthcoming Border Gavaskar Trophy 2024 (BGT). He has advised the Aussie players to refrain from sledging Indian Cricket Team's elite batter Virat Kohli. The 43-year-old has listed several reasons for not sledging the legendary Indian batter.



Virat has been struggling to perform well in recent times and he has been going through a lean-patch with the bat. Despite his struggles, the Indian fans are anticipating Virat to perform in a brilliant manner in the forthcoming five-match Test Series. In the last four years, Virat has managed to amass just 1,838 runs in 34 five-day format games at a poor average of 31.68, which includes two hundreds and nine fifties.

Clarke is aware about the threat which Kohli poses and he knows that he's hungry to score runs and if he gets sledged then he can use that to bring back his lost confidence and enthusiasm. The 36-year-old has a habit of fighting back in a strong manner whenever he gets sledged by his opponents.

The 1st Test-Match of the 2024 Border Gavaskar Trophy will be played in the city of Perth from Friday, 22nd of November onwards and Virat Kohli is busy in preparing himself for the highly anticipated series.



The Australian media had previously reported that the 36-year-old is struggling with fitness related issues and has gone for x-ray scans. But, in the intra-squad match-simulation of the Men in Blue, Virat looked completely fit and he wasn't witnessed facing any kind of issues while playing.



The former Indian skipper got dismissed after scoring 15 runs in the intra-squad game, but then he straight away went to the nets and practiced for a duration of 30 minutes. Following this, he faced the short pitched deliveries of Nitish Kumar Reddy and Prasidh Krishna in a brave manner. Virat is expected to perform well with the bat in the upcoming BGT series and he will play an important role in helping India retain the trophy.

The wait for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 is all set to be over. The tournament will begin on 19th February, and the final will take place on 9th March. The India team, no doubt, will be one of the hot favourites to win the tournament, which will be played in a hybrid model.

The reports added that India team management is happy with the net session ahead of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. This is because they will be playing the three-match ODI series against England, which will begin on 6th February across three venues in India. 
Apart from this, it is reported that the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 won't be having a captain photoshoot because of the different challenges along with the different arrivals of the team. This means that Rohit Sharma won't be travelling to Pakistan for this and will be staying in Dubai with the team. 
The opening ceremony of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 will be held in Lahore. There were talks of having the event in Karachi but the Pakistan Cricket Board decided to host it in Lahore.
