The batting-lineup of the Englishmen struggled under-pressure, particularly versus the spinners, who made the ball talk on the Worn pitch of Multan.



Slow left arm orthodox spinner Noman Ali was the architect in chief, as he ended the contest with his test-career's best figures of 8-46 and him along with Sajid Khan destroyed the Ben Stokes-led team for a mere 144 runs score.

Team India suffered an embarrassing defeat in the pink ball test at Adelaide Oval inside three days at the hands of Australia. After winning the first Test in Perth, India entered the second game with full confidence, but India had yet another batting failure in the first innings of the second test.
India couldn't even reach 200 runs in two innings of the second test. They were bundled out for just 180 runs in the first innings and 175 runs in the second innings. For India, Nitish Kumar Reddy scored 42 runs in each innings and looked in control. There was not even a single fifty for India in two innings. Travis Head led Australia to a big first-innings score of 337. The Southpaw slammed a counterattacking century and made 140 off 141 balls with 17 fours and four sixes.
Head also won the Player of the Match and helped his team level the series 1-1. Mitchell Starc took 8, and captain Pat Cummins took seven wickets in the game. These two teams will now face each other in the third test at The Gabba in Brisbane, starting on December 14.

Before this test, India were at the top of the World Test Championship table. But this ten-wicket defeat in Adelaide has come as a big blow to India's chances to qualify for the WTC final. The final fight is between these two teams. If India can sneak past Australia in the last two games and win those matches. They will take their percentage to 60.52, and Australia will be out even if they win against Sri Lanka 2-0.
That means India and South Africa will qualify for the WTC final. However, if India win one and draw one, they will jump to the second place above Australia. In that case, India need Sri Lanka to draw one of two tests against Australia.
But if India lose one of two remaining matches, then Sri Lanka beating Australia 2-0 will be the only way for India to reach. Meanwhile, South Africa have two tests against Pakistan. If they win one game, they will qualify. But if they lose both matches, then India need one win against Australia to qualify.
