Team India name squads for ODI, T20I series against Australia: After convincingly defeating Australia in the one-off test match, the Indian women's team will now have a go at Australia in the game's shorter formats. Team India will take on Australia in a three-match ODI series followed by as many games T20I series, the squads for which have also been announced by the BCCI.
Harmanpreet Kaur will lead both the ODI and T20I squads, while Smriti Mandhana will act as her deputy. All the regular players are available for selection which makes the competition even better.
The likes of Jemimah Rodrigues, Shafali Verma, Renuka Thakur and Deepti Sharma among others will be seen in action soon in the limited overs as well.
Notably, Team India will be high on confidence after registering two back-to-back wins in the one-off test matches against England and Australia respectively. First India (W) thumped England (W) by a massive 347 runs in the DY Patil Stadium in the one-off test match and then the hosts got better of the Australian women's side by eight wickets to register a famous win.
