Team India solidify third position in ICC ODI Ranking after England series win: The Men in Blue have consolidated their third position in the recently released ICC ODI Rankings after the away series victory against England. India thrashed England by 2-1 in the three matches ODI series.
Team India are three points ahead of arch-rivals Pakistan in the 50-overs ranking. Securing 109 rating points following the England victory, India is placed third while Pakistan is placed fourth with 106 rating points.
New Zealand are the table topper with 128 rating points followed by England with 121 rating points. Meanwhile, Australia is placed in the fifth spot with 101 points.
Wicketkeeper batter Rishabh Pant slammed an unbeaten century while Hardik Pandya?s all-rounder show propelled team India to a series win against England in Manchester.
After winning the series opener at Kennington Oval, London, team India got derailed as England made a tremendous comeback in the second match to level the three matches ODI series. However, consistent batting from the Indian middle order in the third match at Old Trafford helped the visitors to secure a series victory in England?s own backyard.
Meanwhile, team India also managed to secure the T20I series on the England tour. The visitors won the opening two T20Is to win the series.
