T20 World Cup 2024: The ICC T20 main event of 2024 is underway and is approaching its halfway mark. 27 of 40 group stage matches have been played and Team India is left with just one game in the group stage.

The Team India under the leadership of Rohit Sharma have qualified for the SUPER Eights after winning three matches in a row. They are the topper of the Points Table in Group A of T20 World Cup 2024. India share the group with Pakistan, USA, Ireland, and Canada.
Team India’s Performance in T20 World Cup 2024
India became the first team from Group A to qualify for the SUPER Eights following a streak of win. In their Three-match-win streak, they first defeated Ireland with complete domination. Bowling first, they wrapped up Ireland inside 100 runs and chased the target within 74 balls.
Next up, they met Pakistan in New York which was kind of a competitive match. The Men in Blue batted first and Pakistan were too good with the ball, restricting the Blues to under 120. However, India did an even better job with the ball than Pakistan and defended the score by a margin of 6 runs.
The third and most recent one was against USA where the hosts were not that good with the bat. They posted 110 runs in 20 overs and India chased down the total with 10 balls to spare. These three consecutive wins earned them a total of 6 points and they are now one of the teams of Super 8s.
India’s next Fixture
India are left with just one match in the group stage and that is against Canada. This will be the first time these two teams will face off in the T20I format. They have already qualified and the result of this contest won’t make any difference for them but it will be crucial for Canada.
Canada have won one match in the group stage till now defeating Ireland by 12 runs. They need a big win here against the in-form Blues if they seek the qualification possibilities.
The INDIA vs CANADA match will be played on 15th June at Central Broward Regional Park Stadium Turf Ground, Lauderhill, Florida. However, the weather conditions in Florida are not ideal these days as this part is witnessing heavy rainfall and flood-like conditions this season.
