The Ashes 2023, England announced their Squad for the Test series against Ireland: England Cricket Board(ECB) announced their Squad for the upcoming one match test series against Ireland, which will be played from June 1st to June 4th at Lord's cricket Ground, England.
From June 1st, England will play a single test match series against Ireland ahead of the Ashes. It will help them boost preparation for the upcoming Ashes 2023, which will start on June 16th.?
The Test match between England and Ireland is a four-day test match played at lord's cricket ground, London. Ireland and England are going to play a test match for the second time in Cricket history. The first was played in 2019, in which England won the match by 143 runs.
The ECB announced a 15-members squad for the one-off test against Ireland. Ben Stokes is going to lead the English side, whereas Ollie Pope has been chosen as vice-captain. Jonny Bairstow and Jack Leach returned to England's test squad.
Bairstow return to the England's Squad:
Jonny Bairstow is back in the England's test squad after the broken left leg and dislocated ankle injury. Bairstow's comeback in the England team is great news for England as the Ashes Series is now only month left. Jonny's record in test cricket is phenomenal and he played 89 test matches in which he scored 5482 runs with an average of 37.04.
