The Ashes 2023: One of cricket's oldest rivalries will be on display in the Ashes 2023 fixture between England and Australia. Two historical rivals meet at least once every two years in a usually five-match test series known as The Ashes. We will explore The Ashes 2023 Schedule, Fixtures, Full Squads, Venue, Timing, and more in this post.
The opportunity to host The Ashes is offered alternately, and England will host The Ashes this year. On 15th March, the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) revealed the whole schedule for the five-match Test series, including venues and dates.
Ben Stokes, the captain of England, is now competing in the IPL for the CSK team. Prior to playing Australia in the Ashes, England, coached by Brendon McCullum and spearheaded by Ben Stokes, is scheduled to welcome Ireland in a one-off Test match at London's Lord's Cricket Stadium in the first week of June. The anticipated Ashes series would begin on June 16 at Birmingham's iconic Edgbaston stadium.
After that, the teams will go to Lord's (June 28?July 2) and Headingley (July 6?10), the site of Stokes' 2019 heroics, before concluding the series at Emirates Old Trafford (July 19?23) and The Kia Oval (July 27-31).
With the white-ball team of England attempting to defend their 50-over World Cup later in the year beginning in October in India, it will be the first time in the 139-year history of the Ashes that there is no Test in August.
The team in possession of the Ashes retains the trophy if the series is tied. Australia recently defeated England to win the Ashes. There have been 72 Ashes series in all; of those, Australia has won 34, England has won 32, and six have resulted in draws.
