The T20 World Cup no doubt is the most significant event which almost every team in the world is looking forward to in the upcoming few months. The tournament which will be featuring several top-notch cricketing nations feature in an intense competition of the shortest format of the game shall indeed be a treat to watch for cricket lovers all around the globe.
All teams have already started their preparations to plan out the strongest of strategies in order to achieve the best results in the all-important tournament that is supposedly going to begin in November this year. The Indian team like other years will once again be looking to make a strong impact in the tournament, leaving behind their failures in the previous T20 World Cup in 2021.
Given below is a list of three possible opening partnerships in which India could go within the T20 world cup 2022.?
1. Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul
The first and possibly the most obvious opening pair which India would be liking to stick with is the Rohit -Rahul duo. Both these batsmen have been a threat to any opposition Bowling lineup in the world in the recent past. Rohit Sharma who's been newly appointed the captain has looked in fine rhythm in white ball cricket providing flying starts to his side.
KL Rahul who's out of the team with an injury presently also has been in some terrific form in the past few years and thus will be a great addition to the Indian team for sure in the T20 World Cup 2022.
2. Rohit Sharma and Ishan Kishan
Another possible opening pair which India could use in the T20 World Cup 2022 is Rohit Sharma and Ishan Kishan. Rohit Sharma who's been a regular opener for the side will surely not be a doubt about the position for the side.
Ishan Kishan who hasn't really been a regular part of the side has grabbed each and every opportunity he's got due to the absence of regular players and played some incredibly good innings while opening the batting.
His performances in his recent outing against South Africa prove the fact that he too might be a good enough option for the Indian team to go with ahead of the T20 world cup 2022.
3. Rohit Sharma and Rishabh Pant
The opening partnership which India tried to use as an experiment in India's recent T20I series against England was that of Rohit Sharma and Rishabh Pant. The explosive left-handed opener was provided with an opportunity to open the batting with skipper Rohit Sharma considering his red hot form during that period.
The wicket-keeper batsman has got the ability to bat fearlessly and play big shots with ease against quality bowling lineups. Although we've not been able to see the best of Rishabh Pant the opener in T20Is so far for India, he might seriously stand a chance to be India's X factor at the top of the order just in case he gets a chance.
