Top 5 Most Expensive Indian Bowlers in IPL 2022 Mega Auction: With the Tata Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 Mega Auction just around the corner, the cricket pundits all across the globe have begun to pour in their predictions on who will be the most expensive players in each category. Likewise former Indian cricketer Aakash Chopra has also placed his hat in the basket of predictions as he predicted the top 5 most expensive Indian bowlers in the IPL 2022 Mega Auction.
Before we move ahead, it is important to note that the IPL 2022 Mega Auction is slated to be held on 12th and 13th February. Jay Shah, BCCI secretary, also confirmed that the mega auction is going to be a two-day event in Bangalore.
In a video uploaded on Aakash Chopra?s Youtube channel, the veteran commentator asserted that pacer Deepak Chahar and seasoned leg spinner Yuzvendra Chahal are going to be the top two most expensive bowlers in the IPL 2022 Mega Auction.
Chopra kept former KKR pacer Prasidh Krishna and Avesh Khan at his fifth and fourth spot respectively. Elaborating on their qualities, Chopra said that Krishna has become more lethal with the diverse international experience. Also, his height and point of release are outstanding which give him an edge over others.
Avesh Khan on the other hand has a very stable hand while delivering the ball. His yorkers are extremely controlled and lethal.?The pacer cemented his place in Delhi Capitals (DC) in the IPL 2021, leaving behind the likes of Ishant Sharma and other experienced pacers.
Former Mumbai Indians (MI) spinner Rahul Chahar came at number 3. The young tweaker depends a lot on his leg-spin and bowls with an impressive pace. Also, he has done invariably well in Mumbai Indians? home ground which is deemed small as compared to other stadiums.
Rahul Chahar is certainly going to get big in the IPL 2022 Mega Auction. MI would bid for him highly to retain his services once again. Moreover, there will be other franchises that will be keen to bag his elite bowling services.
Aakash Chopra named Yuzvendra Chahal and Deepak Chahar as his top two most expensive Indian bowlers.
Seasoned leg spinner Yuzvendra Chahal has been unparalleled over the last few years. He often breaks into the top wicket-takers list in the IPL and has been a leading wicket-taker for RCB.
?At no.2, I have kept Yuzvendra Chahal. He is a gun bowler although his numbers might have gone down for the last little while. The second half of the last IPL was outstanding. He has pedigree, performance, potential ? he is brilliant?, said Aakash Chopra.
The commentator talked highly of Deepak Chahar. The pacer is essentially a nightmare for the opposition in the first three overs. Chahar can break the spine of the opposition with his swinging deliveries, if not played with excessive caution.
?At no.1, I have kept Deepak Chahar. He is a wicket-taker with the new ball. You don?t see any other Indian bowler like that, he is a bank in the first three overs, you break the back of the opponent. He is alright at the death but you can manage with him?, he added.
