Top overseas players who will miss IPL 2022 phase one due to national duties: Season fifteen of the Indian Premier League (IPL) is less than a fortnight away and the preparations are going on in full swing. The gala Indian T20 tournament will begin on March 26th at the Wankhede Stadium with Chennai Super Kings (CSK) facing the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR).
The Indian tournament will return home this time after being held overseas in the last two years due to the unprecedented situation caused by the Covid-19. However, the BCCI is convinced to host the IPL 2022 in India with much better preparations and plans.
The Tata Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022, which comprise 74 matches, will be held over a period of 65 days with ten teams competing to fetch the coveted glory. The matches will be held at four stadiums across Mumbai and Pune.
With just a few weeks left for the IPL 2022 opener, the players from all around the world have begun joining their respective franchise?s bio-bubbles. While there are a couple of IPL bound cricketers who are currently engaged in their national duties and won?t be able to participate in phase one of the IPL 2022.
Australian national side is currently touring Pakistan and their players will miss the IPL 2022 phase one. South Africa is hosting Bangladesh for a Test series which will affect players' participation in the IPL.
The Aussie cricketers will become eligible to participate in the Tata IPL 2022 from March 06 onwards.
