As per the latest report, the Indian ace batter and former captain Virat Kohli was indulged in a heated exchange with an Australian journalist at the Melbourne Airport. All this happened when Kohli and family reached Melbourne Airport. He was accompanied by his wife, Anushka Sharma, and children Vamika and Akaay.

On Thursday, December 19, a female journalist from Australia's renowned news agency Channel 7 panned the camera at Virat's family and captured the video. According to the report, Virat didn't like it and was angry at the incident. He was upset with the journalist for breaching his family's privacy.

The Indian captain had a word with the journalist asked to view the pictures and video taken. Later, he requested to delete the footage of his family. Notably, as per the law in Australia, there is no regulation of taking pictures of any celebrity or sportsperson. Earlier, Virat requested the media person to not capture the pictures of his family at Mumbai Airport while they flew to Australia for the series.

India need in-form Virat Kohli to make it to the World Test Championship final

Though the matter was solved later on but it became viral pretty soon. Virat Kohli didn't travel with the Indian team from Brisbane to Melbourne and decided to travel with his family. He will be joining the Indian team in Melbourne for the fourth test, which is scheduled to start on December 24 at the MCG. It has been a tough tour for Virat. Apart from the unbeaten hundred he scored in Perth in the second innings, he has failed in other innings.

Virat has scored only 26 runs in the remaining four innings. India need him in form, as the last two tests are very important for India if they want to qualify for the final of the World Test Championship 2023-25. India are currently third on the WTC table and need to win both games to move to second place.

If they lose one out of two, they will have to depend on other teams. Virat has great numbers in Australia, but his declined form in recent years has certainly put him under pressure. He has struggled on this tour and has been out in similar fashion, poking at the ball outside off stump. He will be looking to make a strong comeback at the MCG, which is one of his favorite venues to bat on in Australia.
