Virat Kohli to join Delhi ahead of the match against Saurashtra - Report

Virat Kohli has been India's premier player for more than a decade now. With the busy schedule India have had over the years, it is understandable that players don't get time to play domestic cricket. Virat himself hasn't played at the domestic level since 2012. But as reported by Cricbuzz, he might feature in the coming Group D game against Saurashtra, which is scheduled to take place on January 23.

As the report quoted, "Virat will join the Delhi team in Rajkot and train with the team even if he were not to play in the match." Meanwhile, Rishabh Pant has already confirmed his availablity to play for Delhi. The District Cricket Association (DDC) has hinted that there are chances that Pant is likely to lead the team in the game.

Ashok Sharma, DDCA Secretary, told Cribuzz, "“We will announce the squad tomorrow (Friday), and as of now we have not heard from Virat." Meanwhile, in that game against Saurashtra, we might also see Ravindra Jadeja make his appearance.

Notably, the BCCI has introduced a new policy where it is mandated for players to play at the domestic level. Meanwhile, speaking of Virat, the former Indian captain has confirmed it yet, but if everything goes well. It will be his long-awaited return after 14 years.
