India skipper Rohit Sharma has been under a lot of scanner for his poor form with the bat in the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25

India skipper Rohit Sharma has been under a lot of scanner for his poor form with the bat in the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25. The captain hasn't been at his best and has bagged a series of low scores in Test cricket of late.

Rohit Sharma, who failed in the entire home season, is having the worst possible time in the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25. The opening batter missed the first match of the series and, after that, sacrificed his opening position for KL Rahul, who has a position of his own.

Rohit Sharma, in the four innings that he has played in the ongoing series against Australia, has been at his worst. He hasn't looked confident at all as his feet look stuck at the ground. This has seen him getting out on low scores and coping with a lot of criticism.

Rohit Sharma has been under the pump, and it's fair to say that the last two games of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25 will be career-defining for him. It could be a make-or-break series for him, and it won't be a surprise if the captain brings his A-game in the last two games.

But things don't look great for him either. Rohit Sharma has been putting hard yards in the nets, but in what was a bizarre moment, the captain of India got out to part-timer in the nets. The senior batter was seen batting against Devdutt Padikkal in the nets.

Rohit Sharma, however, got trapped in lbw by Devdutt Padikkal. The batter tried to play the shot on the back foot but missed the ball and ended up getting hit right in front. From the naked eye, it looked plumb as the captain, too, looked shocked.

The video of the incident went viral on the internet with many criticising Rohit Sharma for getting out. You can find the video below:

Rohit Sharma has struggled immensely with the bat in the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25. The skipper has managed just 19 runs in the 4 innings that he has played. He would be keen to turn things around and silence all his critics with the bat.
