Ind vs NZ: Suryakumar Yadav has shown his great worth to the Indian team on the field in addition to being an exceptionally reliable batter. In the first three overs, the Indian vice-captain made two outstanding identical catches in the slip cordon to dismiss Finn Allen and Glenn Phillips.
New Zealand got off to the worst possible start as they lost 4 wickets for a total of 7 runs while seeking to chase down a staggering total of 235 runs. As the Indians quickly and cheaply removed Fin Allen, Devon Conway, March Chapman, and Glenn Phillips, Hardik Pandya, and Arshdeep Singh each claimed two wickets.
Suryakumar Yadav secured two fine catches in the slips off the bowling of Hardik, dislodging Allen and Phillips. But what was fascinating to witness was how identical both of Surya's catches were. Hardik gave India two important wickets, the first in his first over and the second in his second. Both times, the ball took the outside edge of the bat and went toward Suryakumar. The ball was at a bit of a height, and that?s where Surya?s brilliance came into effect, and within a split second, Surya had to jump and stretch high both times to grab the ball.
Later on, Suryakumar Yadav grabbed another catch at deep mid-wicket, just inside the boundary. He sent Mitchell Santner back to the pavilion while making it appear simple and displaying a remarkable sense of awareness for his surroundings. Twitter users praised SKY for his amazing catches and for keeping his cool while making them.
Shubman Gill earlier led India to an impressive 234 for four against New Zealand in the series-deciding third T20 International with an explosive unbeaten century, his first in the shortest format. With the help of 12 fours and 7 sixes, Gill maintained his excellent form and displayed the variety of shots he is capable of using to knock the New Zealand bowlers to every part of the Narendra Modi Stadium as he scored 126 runs off just 63 balls.
Gill was at his most menacing when he continued his assault with pick-up hits, drives, or pulls. In the process, the opening batter recorded the highest T20 international score for an Indian. Previously, Virat Kohli had the record (122). The Young cricketer, Rahul Tripathi also made a significant contribution to India attaining a score of 200+ by blasting 44 off 22. The top T20I batsman in the world, Suryakumar Yadav, scored 24 runs off of just 13.
