The West Indies squad for the Test series against Australia will see the return of Shai Hope.

The West Indies Cricket Team has announced their strong 16-member squad for the upcoming Test series against the Australia Cricket Team. The two teams will be locking horns in the two-match series, starting June 25 in Barbados.

The West Indies squad for the Test series against Australia will see the return of Shai Hope. The right-hander was dropped from the team for his poor run but his stunning run in the white-ball cricket made the selectors pick him in the longest format of the game.

The West Indies selectors have also added Kevlon Anderson from Guyana. He was selected because of his performances in the domestic circuit. What caught the attention of many was they dropped Kemar Roach, who had been one of the best players for the team in the format.

While talking about the squad for the Test series, West Indies coach Darren Sammy said:

"I'm excited about the inclusion of young prospect Kevlon Anderson, who comes in after solid seasons in our domestic competitions to help provide stability in the top order, while the return of Shai Hope is welcomed given his consistency in white ball cricket."

Apart from this, Shamar Joseph, who played a massive role for the West Indies in the Gabba Test against Australia last year, has been included in the team. The squad will be captained by Roston Chase, who was recently appointed as the Test captain.
