WWE Latest News: Vicki Askew, mother of WWE Chairman?Vince McMahon. She passed away at the age of 101 from natural causes in her sleep at her home?in The Woodlands, TX on Tuesday, January 20.


The information has been made public through an obituary that has been published in the US press.

According to information released in the obituary.?A memorial Mass for the Ebensburg, Pennsylvania community will be held today, Saturday, January 29 at 10:00 am?at Holy Name Roman Catholic Church.?It is likely that part of the dome will travel after the mass to Missouri to be present at the Royal Rumble event.

"She was 101 years old and?is survived by one son, four grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Vicki was born on July 11, 1920 in Florence, South Carolina. The only child of four children born to Orpheus William Hanner and Victoria Kennedy Hanner.

The family is moved when Vicki was a child to Sanford and then to East Sanford, NC. Where she spent her childhood.

A sad moment for Vince Family

Vicki was blessed with two sons, Rod and Vince, both married to their childhood sweethearts.?Unfortunately, Rod passed away a year before his mother.?Vicki's childhood was rough.?She spoke of herself in an interview for the North Coast Church in 2018: 'My mother had to go to work to support me and my three brothers.

She started selling Avon.?During the Great Depression, I remember drawing my foot on cardboard and putting it in my shoe (the sole had holes in it and no one could afford new shoes).' as informed by diggingsports.in.

After graduating from high school. Vicki pursued a career in Public Administration working as a secretary and administrative assistant until she retired from the Pembroke Pines Florida Chamber of Commerce.?

Tennis was an important part of Vicki's life.?She started hitting balls on an old run down track and was hooked for life.?After her husband, Harold Askew, passed away in 2010. Vicki moved to Bentwater (Montgomery, TX) where she made many friends and played a lot of tennis.?Her last residence was The Woodlands where she lived with her loving caretaker, Verdell Berry."
