3 Key Players to watch in CSK: The second leg of the Indian Premier League (IPL) is about to commence and all the franchises have tightened their belts to undergo rigorous training in the remaining few weeks. Barring a few teams, most of the IPL franchises have already set up their bases in the UAE and have begun the training.
The remaining 31 matches of the Vivo IPL 2021 are scheduled to be held in the UAE, starting from 19th September. All the matches are divided to be played across the three venues in the UAE.
Although a team needs all its players to perform in order to win the match, however, there are certain players whose performances are key for a franchise to succeed. A few players have performed outstandingly well in the first half of the IPL 2021 and are expected to replicate their heroics in the UAE as well.
The article will take you through the 3 key players to watch in the CSK squad in the upcoming Vivo IPL 2021.
3 Key Players to watch in Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the Vivo IPL 2021:
Moeen Ali:?
The English cricketer is the first in the line of 3 key players. Chennai Super Kings (CSK) played its card firstly in the IPL 2021 auction to acquire the all-rounder for a massive sum of INR 7 Crores.
Ali has rightly justified his hefty price tag in the IPL 2021. The all-rounder has scored loads of runs for Chennai in the first six matches and it won?t be wrong to say that a few matches were saved because of him.
The English spin all-rounder has played flexible cricket at number 3 for CSK in the first phase of the IPL. He went after the bowlers when there was a need and at times held the crease at one end as well.
He scored 202 runs in six IPL innings in the IPL 2021 at a strike rate of 157.25 and at an average of 34.33. The management will expect him to do the job for the Super Kings once again in the UAE.

Deepak Chahar:
The young Indian pacer was in fine form during the first half of the IPL 2021. Although the pacer wasn?t consistent with his wickets, he was brilliant enough to put pressure on the opposition whenever he picked up the wickets.
Deepak Chahar picked a two-four wickets haul in the IPL 2021 and got eight wickets in those matches only.
MS Dhoni and management will have much higher expectations from the pacer this time. He was performing brilliantly in the recent India tour of Sri Lanka. He picked up six wickets in total three games he featured in the tour.
Moreover, in the IPL 2020, which was apparently also held in the UAE, Deepak Chahar scalped 12 wickets from 14 matches.
Faf du Plessis:
Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and South African batsman Faf du Plessis will also be a key player for the franchise in the second leg of the IPL 2021. The opening batter was exceptional in providing a brisk start to the innings along with Ruturaj Gaikwad, earlier this year.
Du Plessis was CSK?s most valuable player in the first six games. He plundered a massive 320 runs in seven matches at a strike rate of 145.45 and at an average of 64.00.
The franchise would love to watch du Plessis?s pure form once again in the remainder of the season.?
