Jasprit Bumrah becomes greatest ever India bowler, goes past Kapil Dev, Zaheer Khan

India fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah achieved a massive feat in the history of Tests for the national team. The premier pacer now holds the record of Most Test 5fers by an Indian Bowler in SENA countries as he surpassed three Indian greats. 

Jasprit Bumrah achieved the feat during Day 2 of the second Test against the Australia team. The third game of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25 between the teams is taking place at The Gabba in Brisbane, and so far, two days have been completed. 

Jasprit Bumrah has looked a class apart with the ball in the ongoing game. He is single-handedly carrying the Indian bowling lineup in the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25 and had carried his form with the ball in the third game as well. 

In a game, where every other India bowler has struggled to get going, Jasprit Bumrah has oozed his class with the ball. He took India off to a flyer with the ball as he removed both Australia openers Usman Khawaja and Nathan McSweeney to set the tone for his team. 

After that, Jasprit Bumrah waved his magic with the second new ball as he removed Travis Head, Steve Smith and Mitchell Marsh to pick his second fifer of the series. Out of the 7 Australian wickets that fell on Day 2, he picked 5 wickets, depicting the kind of impact he has made.

With this fifer, Jasprit Bumrah claimed his 8th five-wicket in the Tests in the SENA countries. He overtook Kapil Dev, Zaheer Khan and B Chandrasekhar to go at the top of the list.
