This edition of IPL has not been easy for the Kings, too many highs and lows throughout the tournament. Many close encounter losses to the side and many heartbreaking situations. But one thing that has remained constant is their confidence and capability to comeback and win games.

Start want perfect for the Kings but later on, they somehow managed to get going. Some back to back losses and then back to back wins, Kings have seen everything in this tournament. Now after 12 games they stepped into the top 4. 

Batting is always their strong area. Having one of the most successful opening pair in Dream11 IPL 2020. KL Rahul and Mayank Aggarwal took the responsibility to score as many runs as possible. From the very beginning, they both looked unstoppable. KL Rahul who is the skipper of KXIP hasn?t missed any chance of scoring runs, the same goes for his counterpart Mayank Aggarwal.

KL Rahul is at number 1 position in the highest run-getters of Dream11 IPL 2020. He is undefeated till now, he is way ahead of any other player in getting runs for his team. Skipper Rahul has scored 595 runs in 12 games while his opening partner Mayank Aggarwal isn?t far from him. Mayank is at no. 5 in the highest run-getters. He scored 398 runs in 10 matches.

Bowling was their major concern at the start of IPL. Despite some big names (? Md. Shami, Chris Jordan, Sheldon Cottrell, James Neesham, Mujeeb Ur Rahman and some young talents) in the bowling unit they were leaking runs. Bowlers were keeping hold till 15 overs but death bowling was a major concern. They were leaking enough runs at the end to make an easy total look difficult.?

Kings XI Punjab Comeback:

Their comeback is brilliant and commendable. Lost 6 matches out of 7 in the beginning but later on went to win 5 back to back games to keep their hopes alive. After 12 matches they are at no. 4 spot in Points Table.

The inclusion of Chris Gayle turned out to be beneficial for KXIP. Gayle provided enough experience at the start and their middle order is strong enough to hold wickets in the middle. Mandeep Singh playing in place of Mayank Aggarwal also showed some good shots and scored a brilliant half-century for his team against KKR in the last game.

Death Bowling has improved a lot. They aren?t leaking runs in the end rather they are sealing games for them. In the match against SRH, their bowlers showed they have improved a lot. Last 5 overs their bowlers managed to strike 5 wickets and stole the game from SRH.
