ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2024: The third match of the T20 World Cup 2024 was played today between Oman and Namibia at Kensington Oval in Barbados. Namibia started its World Cup campaign with a win, the result of this exciting match came out after the Super-Over. This is the first time since 2012 that the result of any T20 World Cup match has come out of the Super-Over.
Namibia's captain Gerhard Erasmus invited Oman to bat first, in response Oman could not play even 20 overs. The team was all-out for just 109 runs in 19.4 overs. Middle order batsman Khalid Kail scored the most runs for his team from Oman. He played a respectable innings of 34 runs in 39 balls.
Namibia, which came out to chase the target, was all-out for 109 runs in 20 overs. Jan Frylinck scored the most runs from Namibia, he played an innings of 45 runs in 48 balls.
For your information, let us tell you that Namibia needed 18 runs in the last 18 balls to win, despite this the match was tied. Batting first in the super-over, Namibia scored 21 runs in 1 over. In response, Oman could score only 10 runs in the super over.
