ICC T20 World Cup 2024 Points Table: Match 06 of the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 saw a battle between Jos Buttler-led England and Richie Berrington-led Scotland. The fixture was set to be played at the Kensington Oval, Bridgetown in Barbados on June 04, 2024. The battle couldn't produce a rain-played spoilsport and as a result, both teams shared a point each to begin their run in the T20 World Cup.

The fixture (England vs Scotland) saw multiple rain-forced breaks in the span of 5 hours or so. Following the toss, there was a delay of about an hour due to rain. However, the proceedings of the match began with Scotland batting first and only 6.2 overs could be bowled before rain again made its presence felt in the game. By 6.2 overs, Scotland had scored 51 runs without losing a wicket.
This time it was a two-hour long interruption, but anyhow the officials revised the match timings and conditions. The T20I game was reduced to 10 overs per side as the innings once again began. Scotland managed to pile up a solid 90 runs in their quota of 10 overs without losing a wicket. Another 17 runs were added to Scotland's score as per the DLS rule.
England required 108 runs to win the battle against their European counterparts, but the rain gods once again marked their presence and this time the officials had no option but to abandon the match. The rain had the final say in the fixture between England and Scotland, which is also the first game of the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 to be washed out.
In another game, the Netherlands defeated Nepal by 6 wickets at the Grand Prairie Stadium in Dallas. Batting first Nepal managed to score 106 runs before getting bowled out in 19.2 overs. In response to a modest score, the Netherlands chased it with 8 balls remaining.
