IND vs WI 2023: Suryakumar Yadav Becomes the Second Fastest Batter to Smash 100 T20I sixes, Joins Virat and Rohit's Elite Group: Suryakumar Yadav became the third Indian men's player to hit 100 sixes in T20I cricket when he hit four sixes during his 83-run knock against the West Indies in Guyana on Tuesday. India won the match by seven wickets.
Suryakumar was in great form, hitting boundaries in all directions. He had played an aggressive game against West Indies Decent Bowling attack. Surya was smashing boundaries primarily in pacers overs like Joseph and Obed McCoy.
Tilak Varma also played a good knock, scoring 49 not out. The two of them put on a partnership of 92 runs for the third wicket. India's victory in the third T20I led them to 1-2 in this series. The final two matches will be played in Florida on Saturday and Sunday.
Suryakumar was impressed with Varma's maturity and believes he has a bright future in the game. He said, "He knows his game very well and he's mentally very strong."
India will be hoping that Suryakumar and Tilak Varma can continue their good form in the final two matches of the series. Both helped India chase down the West Indies total of 159 runs in 17.5 overs with seven wickets in hand.
India's victory means the five-match series is now well poised, with the West Indies leading 2-1. The remaining two games will be played in Florida on Saturday and Sunday.
Suryakumar is one of the most talented batsmen in India at the moment. He is a very versatile player who can bat anywhere in the top order. He is also a very good fielder.
He has been in great form in T20 cricket in recent years. He has scored over 1,000 runs in T20Is at an average of over 30 and a strike rate of over 150. He is a key player for India in the World Cup 2023 later this year. He will be looking to continue his good form and help India win the title.
