IPL 2021: BCCI to conduct IPL 2021 in India.

Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021: Thrilled by the successful wrap of the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2020-21, BCCI is all set to stage a couple of more domestic events in the due time. Vijay Hazare Trophy, Senior women?s cricket and Vinod Mankad U-19 Trophy are some of the tournaments in the upcoming list of BCCI.

In addition to the domestic circuit, BCCI also plans to stage India as the host of cash-rich, Indian Premier League 2021 which will be held in April. 

The BCCI will conduct the upcoming season of IPL in India and has embarked Wankhede Stadium, Brabourne Stadiums, DY Patil Stadium, Reliance Cricket Stadium and Maharashtra Cricket Stadium for the same.

The newly build Sardar Patel Stadium (Motera Stadium) in Ahmedabad will also be considered to host IPL games. The Sarder Patel stadium will most probably host the knockout games and the finals of IPL.

It will be good news for the Indian fans to see IPL happening in India. Although there will be restrictions on the venues, it might be possible that some of the franchise has to share the same home ground.

The 3th edition of Indian Premier League was shifted to UAE due to poor covid situation in India.

No Ranji Trophy this time

In the past 87 years, this will be the first time when BCCI has refused to conduct Ranji Trophy games and instead Vijay Hazare Trophy will be conducted. The step was taken after taking consent from the various state associations and most of them were in the favor of BCCI. Also, the lack of time pushed BCCI to take the step.

?This will be the beginning of all forms of cricket in India after the covid. The national games will be held and for international games, England and India will play 4 test games along with 5 T20Is and three ODIs,? a member of BCCI told.

IPL 2021 mini-auctions will be held on 18th February in Chennai. It is expected that BCCI will host IPL 2021 from the first week of April and it will go till June.
