The Sunrisers Hyderabad is a very successful franchise, keeping aside the last season. The team has managed to make it to the playoffs almost every year. The Sunrisers Hyderabad will be keen on keeping up their amazing performances in IPL 2022. In IPL 2022, SRH is without their face, David Warner. Kane Williamson will lead the franchise. What does the squad look like? Who are the big players? Here is a look:

Expected Playing XI for Sunrisers Hyderabad:
Abhishek Sharma, Rahul Tripathi, Kane Williamson (C), Nicholas Pooran, Priyam Garg/Washington Sundar, Abdul Samad, Romario Shepherd Umran Malik/Bhuvneshwar Kumar, T Natarajan, Marco Jansen, Shreyas Gopal.
Strengths of the SRH Team in IPL 2022:
The major strength of the Sunrisers Hyderabad in the Indian bowling core. They have Bhuvi, Natarajan, pace sensation Umran Malik, and Kartik Tyagi. Washington Sundar will also add value to this group as he can bowl in the powerplay. Number 3 and 4 batters have to be Kane Williamson and Nicholas Pooran to make the middle-order settled.
Weakness of the SRH Team in IPL 2022:
The weakness is in the spin department. Shreyas Gopal is their leading spinner alongside Washi. Gopal lacks game time. He was benched by the Rajasthan Royals for 9 to 10 games. The other spin options are Abhishek Sharma and Jagadeesha Suchith. SRH previously had Rashid Khan. And the current spin department doesn’t look that formidable. The opening combination also looks skeptical. There are many possibilities. Will Kane open the batting? Will Tripathi bat number 3? Where will Abhishek Sharma bat? Are you considering Glenn Phillips? What about Vishnu Vinod?
Opportunities for the SRH Team:
The opportunities are for many players. Umran Malik is a lesser-known face. With Indians always keen on fast bowlers, Umran can show what he has. Abdul Samad is another exciting talent. He will have to take up the finishers’ job. He showed us a trailer last year while whacking Pat Cummins and Jasprit Bumrah for huge sixes. Rahul Tripathi can make a case for himself in the Indian middle-order. Rahul has been banging the door of the national team for a very long time. It is about time; Rahul has an over-the-top season and breaks the door.
Threats for the Sunrisers Hyderabad Team in IPL 2022:
There are a few threats for the SRH team. Availability of players will be crucial for them. Marco Jansen is in their scheme of things. But the Bangladesh series against South Africa will be played till the 12th of April. The opening is a big question mark. Some players have to step up and show character.
X-Factor Players:
Gaurav Sundaram from EspnCricinfo rates Abhishek Sharma as an amazing player. Abhishek has a big season due and it can be IPL 2022. Sharma will have to open the batting to show what he has in store for us. He is a tonker of the ball. Another name that comes to mind is that of Romario Shepherd. Romario has had a good CPL and he is a clean striker of the ball. He can be a finisher as well.
