IPL 2024: Gujarat Titans Won their Second Match of Tournament After Defeating SRH by 7 Wickets | GT vs SRH Match Highlights

IPL 2024:?Gujarat Titans played exceptional cricket against Sunrisers Hyderabad and defeated them by 7 wickets in the match no.12 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. The Player of the match was Mohit Sharma, who again gave a fantastic performance by taking three crucial wickets in the match.
Gujarat Titans (GT) registered their second and jumped to the position in the TATA IPL Points Table however, they played a dominating cricket against Sunrisers Hyderabad on their home ground. Skipper Shubman Gill played an exceptional knock of 36 runs in 28 balls and led his team in a good position. GT batters and bowlers played collectively therefore they easily won the match against SRH.
Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) could have played better cricket with both bat and ball against Gujarat Titans. SRH failed to score big runs on the scoreboard on the flat batting wicket of Narendra Modi Stadium. However, Bowlers too didn?t take early wickets which gives GT an upper hand in the game to make partnerships.

GT vs SRH First Inning:
Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) had a decent start in the first inning as they made 56 runs in the first powerplay with the loss of one wicket. The Australian batter Travis Head, who played an exceptional knock in the last match against Mumbai Indians, failed to replicate the same against Gujarat Titans. Head scored 19 runs in 14 balls whereas Mayank Agarwal scored 16 runs in 17 balls.
Sunrisers Hyderabad batters kept losing their wickets by scoring few runs, especially in the middle overs. Abhishek Sharma was able to score only 29 runs in 20 balls whereas Heinrich Klaasen scored 24 runs in 13 balls. The Sar batters of SRH failed to play a big inning against GT at Narendra Modi Stadium.
However, Shahbaz Ahmed and Abdul Samad played a crucial inning of 22 and 29 runs, respectively and led SRH to a decent total of 162 runs in 20 overs. From the Gujarat Titans bowling department, Mohit Sharma took three wickets whereas Noor Ahmed, Rashid Khan, Umesh Yadav and Azmatullah Omarzai took one wicket each.
GT vs SRH Second Inning:
In the second inning, Gujarat Titans batted fantastically and easily won the match by 7 wickets, Skipper Shubman Gill gave an excellent start to the teams as he scored 36 runs in 28 balls with 2 fours and 1 sixes. However, later on, Sai Sudharsan and David Miller made a crucial partnership of 64 runs for the third wicket and led their team to the second victory.
Sai Sudharsan scored 45 runs in 36 balls with 4 fours and 1 six whereas David Miller scored 44 runs in 27 balls. From Sunrisers Hyderabad bowling department, Skipper Pat Cummins, Mayank Markande and Shahbaz Ahmed took one wicket each in this match.
