IPL 2024 SRH vs MI: Sunrisers Hyderabad won the match against Mumbai Indians by 31 runs at Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium in Hyderabad. SRH played a fantastic cricket match in Hyderabad against MI in their second match of TATA IPL 2024 as they bombarded boundaries in this match and made the highest total of 277 runs in the Indian Premier League (IPL). The Player of the Match was Heinrich Klaasen as he played a stormy inning of 80 runs with a strike rate of 235.29.
Sunriser Hyderabad (SRH) registered their highest victory in the IPL history after defeating Mumbai Indians by runs. SRH batters played phenomenal cricket and collective performances from Travis Head, Abhishek Sharma, and Heinrich Klaasen led their team to a massive total of 277 runs. SRH bowlers also performed decently and restricted Mumbai Indians under 250 runs.
Mumbai Indians (MI) have one of the most robust bowling units in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 but they failed to utilize their potential against the batting unit of Sunriser Hyderabad. Mumbai was able to make runs while chasing the target as no batter stood on the crease for the big inning like Heinrich Klaasen from the MI side. Jasprit Bumrah was the only bowler in this match, who bowled fantastically on the flat wicket in Hyderabad.

Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) created history in the Indian Premier League (IPL) after playing a mind-blowing cricket at Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium in Hyderabad. Sunrisers Hyderabad made the highest score of 277 runs in the IPL history however, previously, Royal Challengers Bengaluru had this record as they made 263 runs in an inning in 2015.
While batting first in their second match of TATA IPL 2024, Sunrisers Hyderabad batter Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma were playing aggressive cricket since the start of the match and never led MI bowlers to come into the play. Travis Head was continuously hitting the boundaries and trying to build pressure over the Mumbai Indians Pacers.
Travis Head played an impressive inning of 62 runs in just 24 balls with nine fours and three sixes, however, Travis played with an excellent strike rate of 258.33. The Youngster Abhishek Sharma made 63 runs in 23 balls with three fours and seven sixes. After Travis Head, Abhishek took the charge of hitting the boundaries.
Later then, Heinrich Klaasen and Aiden Markram made a massive 106-run partnership for the fourth wicket. Klaasen scored 80 runs in 34 balls with four fours and seven sixes whereas Aiden Markram scored 42 runs in 28 balls. From the Mumbai Indians bowling Department, Hardik Pandya, Gerald Coetzee and Piyush Chawla took one wicket each.
In the second Inning, Mumbai Indians started well as Rohit Sharma and Ishan Kisan gave an aggressive start to the team. MI made 76 runs in the first six overs with the loss of wickets. Ishan Kisan scored 34 runs in 13 balls whereas Rohit Sharma scored 26 runs in 12 balls. Later on, in the middle overs, Tilak Verma and Naman Dhir made a crucial partnership of 84 runs for the third wicket.
However, They failed to chase the target of 278 runs as no batter played a match-winning knock against SRH's bowlers. Tilak Verma scored 64 runs in 34 balls with two fours and six sixes. From the SRH bowling department, Pat Cummins and Jaydev Udankat took two wickets each whereas Shahbaz Ahmed took one wicket.
