Mohammad Rizwan says PSL is bigger and better than IPL: Pakistan wicket-keeper batsman Mohammad Rizwan has claimed that the Pakistan Super League (PSL) is bigger than the Indian Premier League (IPL). He said that even the International players sit as reserve players in Pakistan's T20 league.
On Thursday, the draft for the eighth season of the Pakistan Super League took place. Many well-known Pakistani players and former cricketers engaged with the league were there. Mohammad Rizwan, a well-known Pakistani wicketkeeper-batsman who presently serves as Multan Sultans' captain and who helped his team win the PSL title in the 2021 tournament, was also present at the ceremony. In reference to the PSL and the Indian Premier League (IPL), Rizwan made a significant comment prior to the IPL mini-Auction that has got the internet buzzing.
Mohammad Rizwan explains why PSL is bigger than IPL
The IPL, which premiered in 2008, was the first notable T20 league in the world. However, according to Rizwan, the Pakistan Super League is currently one of the toughest in the world.
Rizwan said to Reporters, ?PSL has stunned the entire world. There were talks earlier that PSL won't be successful, but even we, as a player, have felt that PSL is a success. The IPL is there, but if you ask any player around the world who has played in the PSL, he would say that Pakistan's league is the toughest in the world.?
?The players who are reserves here, they are sitting on the bench at the international level as well (the reserve players are too of international level). Pakistan are getting good backup players, and PSL should get credit for that,? he added.
"PSL?is?the?primary?cause?of?Pakistan's?team?receiving?a?strong?backup?because?it?is?the?world's?toughest?cricket?league," he concluded the topic.
