Vivo IPL 2021: MS Dhoni to leave the CSK team hotel last, after all the players reach their destinations.
Vivo IPL 2021: After the suspension of the fourteenth edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) skipper MS Dhoni said that he will be the last person from the CSK squad to leave the team hotel.
Dhoni once again proved that he is not only the best skipper but also the man of culture. The skipper opined that since the IPL is happening in India, the foreign players and staff should be given preference.
In the virtual team meeting of CSK held on Tuesday, Dhoni said that the overseas recruits of the team will depart first followed by the Indian members and he will be the last to leave the hotel.
?Mahibhai said that he will be the last person to leave the hotel. He wanted foreigners to leave first, then the Indian players. He will be taking the last flight tomorrow when everyone reaches their home safe and secure,? a member of CSK told The Indian Express.
The franchise organised special chartered flights for its players to reach home safely. The flight flew to Mumbai and Rajkot in the morning while players from Bangalore and Chennai were dropped in the evening by the same 10-seater chartered plane.
MS Dhoni being the skipper of the side, will be the last person to reach home. He is scheduled to take flight on Thursday evening.
Other teams like, Mumbai Indians (MI), Punjab Kings (PBKS) and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) also organised the chartered flights for their players while players of Sunrisers Hyderabad, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Rajasthan Royals (RR) went by commercial flights.
