Vivo IPL 2021: Three days prior to the lung-opener between Mumbai Indians and Royal Challengers Bangalore, Kiran More who is the Wicketkeeping consultant and scout of Mumbai Indians have been tested covid positive.
According to the franchise, the former Indian cricketer is ?asymptomatic and has been isolated from the rest of the squad.?
?More is currently asymptomatic and has been isolated. The MI medical team will continue to monitor Mr More?s health and abide by the BCCI protocols,? MI said in a statement on Tuesday.
The five times champion side also urged its fans to be safe and keep all the necessary precautions amidst rising coronavirus cases.
The Mumbai Indians medical team will be monitoring Kiran More for the next few days and will follow all the necessary SOPs of the IPL regulated by the BCCI.
The BCCI will be in more trouble now, as every now and then covid cases are rising inside the camps. Earlier, two cricketers were tested covid positive inside the bio-bubble.
10 Ground staff and six event managers of Wankhede Stadium also got infected with the virus however it is reported that most of these have returned negative in the recent test.
Mumbai Indians will take on Royal Challengers Bangalore on 09th April in Chennai which will be the opener of the cash-rich league followed by the clash of Delhi Capitals and Chennai Super Kings in Wankhede Stadium.
Recently, BCCI has asked all the franchises to follow the bubble protocols with more seriousness amidst the rising coronavirus cases.
