Nasser Hussain, former English skipper, and batsman heaped praise on KL Rahul?s dominant performance in the recently concluded Indian T20 Tournament. Hussain while picking his best 11 of Dream11 IPL 2020 during the Sky Sports show ?The IPL Cricket Show? said: KL Rahul is one of the best white-ball cricketers in recent times. He is the inspiration for the youngsters who want to make an impact.
?I think he (Rahul) is one of the best white-ball players going at the moment. He is a good lesson for any young boy or girl about how to stroke a cricket ball and not over-hit it. Rahul strokes it beautifully,? Hussain said during the show.
Picking his best 11 from Indian T20 League Hussain named most of the players from the champions side.
KL Rahul and Shikhar Dhawan:
Former English batsman names KL Rahul and Shikhar Dhawan as his first-choice openers. KL Rahul who won the Orange Cap for scoring most runs in the tournament is the first choice for any expert.
He then took Surya Kumar Yadav, who unfortunately yet not received the National call-up. Yadav played some crucial cameos for the Mumbai Indians scoring the third-highest runs for the franchise this season.
Ishan Kishan on the other hand had a power-packed season this time. The young Indian wicketkeeper-batsman scored most runs for the Mumbai Indians and is the highest run-scorer in the uncapped Indian player?s list in a season.
Mr. Hussain recalled the amazing AB de Villiers as his wicket-keeper. AB for RCB in IPL 2020 played some crucial knocks to reach the playoffs. However, they were not successful in their target of winning the title.
Hardik Pandya found his place at number 6 in Nasir Hussain?s best eleven. Indian all-rounder after coming from an injury did not bowl but smashed some big towering sixes to finish off thing well for his side. Hardik Pandya scored runs with a humongous strike rate of 178.
Jofra Archer and Boult to lead the pace attack:
Hussain picked Jofra Archer, Kagiso Rabada, Trent Boult and Jasprit Bumrah as his pacers while Rashid Khan as his only spinner.
Trent Boult is capable of giving breakthroughs in the powerplays with most of his wickets coming in the powerplays. Boult took 25 wickets from 15 games with an economy of 7.97.
However, Rashid Khan is the lone spinner in Nasir Hussain?s IPL team. Rashid was handy for SRH to pick crucial wickets in the middle. He was the highest wicket-taker for Sunrisers Hyderabad.
