"Not something I am going through first time," says Rohit Sharma on his dry IPL 2022 run: Mumbai Indians (MI) skipper Rohit Sharma had an unmemorable season in the Indian Premier League (IPL) with both bat and leadership. Sharma failed to produce a single half-century throughout the season with his willow while his side failed to perform consistently in the entire season.

Moreover, Mumbai remained at the bottom of the points table with just four wins from 14 IPL 2022 matches. All the victories for Mumbai came in their last six matches.

Rohit Sharma managed to score mere 268 runs from 14 matches in the fifteenth season of the Indian Premier League at a poor average of 19.14. Moreover, his strike rate also dropped severely throughout the season (120.17).

Sharma in the post-match presentation after Mumbai denied Delhi's playoff entry admitted that he has endured a rusty season with the bat, but asserted that he needs to make a few minor adjustments to his batting in order to regain the lost form. The five times IPL winning skipper added that he has gone through a similar phase in the past as well.

?A lot of things that I wanted to do didn?t happen. But this has happened with me earlier as well, so it?s not something I am going through for the first time. ? I need to take care of the mental aspect and think about how I can return to form and perform?, said Rohit Sharma after the Mumbai Indians? five-wicket win over the Delhi Capitals at the Wankhede Stadium.
