Pakistan Super League 2024 Points Table: The Wednesday double-header of the ongoing Pakistan Super League 2024 ended with Karachi Kings defeating Peshawar Zalmi in the afternoon game while Multan Sultan thumped defending champions Lahore Qalandars in the evening fixture. While the first fixture of the day was held in Gaddafi Stadium, the other was hosted at the Multan Cricket Stadium.

PSL 2024: Karachi Kings vs Peshawar Zalmi
Talking about the afternoon fixture, Shan Masood-led Karachi Kings got better of Babar Azam-spearheaded Peshawar Zalmi by 7 wickets. Peshawar Zalmi could score 154 runs in 19.5 overs in the loss of 10 wickets. Skipper Babar Azam remained the pick of the batters as he played a sublime knock of 51-ball 72. Rovman Powell, later in the innings, scored 25-ball 39 followed by Asif Ali's 16-ball 23 to take Peshawar's total to 154 runs.
For Karachi Kings, Hasan Ali and Mir Hamza scalped three wickets each while Daniel Sams picked two.
In the chase of 154 runs, Karachi Kings got decent partnerships right from the start of the innings. Though none of their batters, barring Kieron Pollard, could play long innings, the handy contributions did the trick for them. All-rounder Kieron Pollard, late in the innings, played a blitz knock of unbeaten 49 runs in just 21 deliveries and single-handedly snatched away the game off Peshawar's grasp.
Eventually, it was Karachi Kings, who managed to emerge victorious against Peshawar Zalmi by 7 wickets.
PSL 2024: Multan Sultan vs Lahore Qalandars
In the other fixture of the day, Multan Sultan recorded their third win of the season by defeating Lahore Qalandars by 5 wickets. Batting first, Lahore scored a total of 166 runs in 20 overs. The defending champions rose on the back of Rassie van der Dussen's fine 54 runs knock which came in just 37 deliveries and Fakhar Zaman's 36-ball 41 to post 166 runs.
To lead from the front, Multan Sultan skipper Mohammad Rizwan played a match-winning 82 runs knock and led his side to the win convincingly. Multan managed to complete the target in 19 overs and won the fixture.
