Points Table, Orange Cap, Purple Cap in IPL 2022 - Updated List: The scheduled 10 matches of the Tata Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 have been completed in week one of the cash-rich tournament. The last night fixture was held between Rishabh Pant?s Delhi Capitals (DC) and Hardik Pandya?s Gujarat Titans (GT) in the MCA Stadium, Pune.
Gujarat Titans (GT) convincingly thrashes Delhi Capitals (DC) by 16 runs to register their second win of the debut season.
GT have been phenomenal in its two matches. The first match saw heroics of Mohammad Shami?s pace bowling while in the second it was Lokie Ferguson who rattled through Delhi?s batting unit and scalped four wickets.
Opener batter Shubman Gill also amassed his career-best 84 runs before he was dismissed, while a late blitz from Rahul Tewatia took Gujarat to a total of 171 runs in 20 overs.
In return, Delhi could only manage to score 157 runs in the given quota of 20 overs and lost the match by 14 runs.
Meanwhile, in the afternoon fixture, Rajasthan Royals (RR) hammered Mumbai Indians? hopes to seal their first win of the season. Mumbai couldn?t chase a 194 runs total and lost the match by 23 runs in the DY Patil Stadium.

Rajasthan Royals are at the top of the points table with two wins, four points and a superior net run rate of +2.100. The second spot is occupied by Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) with two wins from three matches and a net run rate of +0.843. Meanwhile, in the third place, Gujarat Titans (GT) continued to get its hold as they confirmed their second win in two matches.
Delhi Capitals are at four with one win from two matches, while the remaining six places are occupied by Lucknow Super Giants, Royal Challengers Bangalore, Punjab Kings, Chennai Super Kings, Mumbai Indians and Sunrisers Hyderabad respectively.

Orange Cap in IPL 2022:
Mumbai Indians (MI) opener batter Ishan Kishan holds the orange cap with 135 runs in two matches. Kishan surpassed Jos Buttler, who has an equal number of runs, due to his superior strike rate.
KKR?s Andre Russell is in the third place with 95 runs in three matches while fourth and fifth places are occupied by Faf du Plessis and Sanju Samson with 93 and 85 runs respectively.
Purple Cap in IPL 2022:
Umesh Yadav, who has been on a magnificent run in the Tata IPL 2022, currently holds the Purple Cap with 8 wickets from three matches followed by Yuzvendra Chahal (5 wickets) and Mohammad Shami (5 wickets).
KKR?s Tim Southee and RCB?s Wanindu Hasaranga are at number four and five respectively with five wickets each.
