ICC World Cup 2023: A total of 24 matches have been played so far in the ICC World Cup 2023, where teams like India, New Zealand, Australia, and South Africa are slowly progressing to the top-4. Defending champions England and Pakistan were strong contenders for the World Cup 2023, but at present, the path to qualification for both teams seems almost impossible.

Currently, Jos Buttler and Company are at eighth position in the points table with two points. England has played a total of four matches so far, in which the teams have won only one match and had to face defeat in three matches.

Usually, after losing three matches in the World Cup, any team is directly out of the World Cup, but due to the round-robin format of the WC-2023, England is still alive in the race for the top four. According to the round-robin format, all the teams will play new matches where each team needs at least 12 points for qualification in the top-4.

England has played four matches in the tournament so far, in which the team has won only one. The defending champion still has to play five matches in the tournament. England will have to win all five of their remaining matches. England’s next matches are with teams like Sri Lanka, India, Australia, the Netherlands, and Pakistan. If England is successful in winning all its remaining matches, then in this situation, England will qualify for the World Cup 2023 at the fourth position.
