Rohit Sharma seemed a broken man when I spoke to him, says Ian Bishop: Veteran commentator Ian Bishop reckons Mumbai Indians (MI) skipper Rohit Sharma seemed like a broken man after the broadcaster had a conversation with him following Mumbai?s match against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG).?
Mumbai Indians (MI) are enduring a grim outing in the ongoing Tata Indian Premier League (IPL) as the decorated franchise has lost all its eight matches so far. Their last defeat came at the hands of Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) who successfully defended a low scoring total, exposing Mumbai?s thin batting unit.
The five-time IPL champions haven?t really found their mojo in the tournament and would be hoping to rebound in the second phase of the league. MI has been virtually knocked out of the tournament and no permutation and combination can steer them to the playoffs after their eight successive defeats. However, Mumbai can now present a fearless brand of cricket and entertain its supporters as there is nothing to lose for them from now on.
?When I spoke to Rohit Sharma after the last game, he seemed a broken man, understandably. It is a franchise with a great pedigree. I think they need some personnel changes. I think they need Tim David. I don?t know why he hasn?t featured more often,? Bishop told Star Sports.

?They need someone in that batting lineup to get them to a more significant score to hold things, and maybe power things up a little bit. Obviously, Suryakumar Yadav has been playing well,? he added.
Bishop mentioned Mumbai?s poor bowling has been a major cause of their dismal performance this season. The bowlers have leaked runs at crucial moments and haven?t picked enough wickets.
?Their bowling has been leaking runs at critical times in matches, so it?s disappointing for them this year. But still they got to see how they can get out of it, and see how they can develop some of those players going forward,? he further added.
Mumbai Indians are currently facing Rajasthan Royals in their ninth outing in this edition?s Tata IPL at the DY Patil Stadium.?
