Vivo IPL 2021: Shreyas Iyer available for the second phase of IPL 2021 for Delhi Capitals (DC).
Vivo IPL 2021: Delhi Capitals (DC) young batsman and skipper Shreyas Iyer on Monday stated that he will be all fit to feature for Delhi Capitals (DC) in the upcoming second leg of the Indian Premier League (IPL) which is slated to be held in the UAE.
Iyer suffered a major blow on his shoulders during the ODI series against England earlier this year and due to which, he was completely ruled out of the IPL 2021 leg which was held in India.
Following the injury, DC management showed faith in young southpaw wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant and handed him the leadership roles.
"My shoulder... yes, I think the healing process is done. Now it's the last stage of achieving strength and range. So that's going to take about a month and the training is obviously going on. Other than that, I feel, I will be there in the IPL," the DC batsman told The Grade Cricketer's YouTube channel.

The batsman further said that he is not sure about the captaincy. He reckons the team is doing good under Rishabh Pant and his main goal is to lift the trophy, the rest will be in the hands of the owners.
Delhi Capitals (DC) is currently leading the IPL 2021 points table with six wins in eight outings under Rishabh Pant.
"I don't know about the captaincy, it's in the hands of the owners. But the team has already been doing well and we are on top and that's what really matters to me. My main aim and goal is to lift the trophy which Delhi has never done before," he added.
Shreyas Iyer took Delhi to its maiden IPL final last year in the UAE. The team bowed down against Mumbai Indians (MI) in the title clash.
