Vivo IPL 2021: SRH pacer T Natarajan underwent successful knee surgery, thanks BCCI and medical team.
Vivo IPL 2021: Team India and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) pace sensation Thangarasu Natarajan underwent a successful knee surgery on Tuesday.?
Natarajan was ruled out last week from the remainder of the fourteenth edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) owing to his knee injury which he sustained during the India tour to Australia in 2020-21.
The pacer thanked all the BCCI officials and the members of the medical team for looking after him during this hard phase.
?Today, I underwent knee surgery ? and am grateful for the expertise, attention and kindness of the medical team, surgeons, doctors, nurses and staff. I?m grateful to @bcci and to all that have wished well for me,? Natarajan tweeted.
Natarajan picked the knee injury during the India vs Australia games due to which he had to undergo his rehabilitation program at National Cricket Academy (NCA) Bangalore. The injury occured due to excessive workload in the Australia tour in the absence of senior pacers.
NCA gave him a green signal to play the India-England series although he was not 100 percent match fit.
The 30-years old pacer could only manage to play two games for Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in the ongoing season of IPL before getting ruled out.
He became an overnight sensation during the last season of IPL which was held in UAE due to his pin-point Yorkers and strict line-length.
Subsequently, he got his maiden call-up in the India-Australia series in all three formats. He is the only Indian cricketer to make his international debut in all the three formats in the same tour.
