Strength and Weakness of all ten IPL teams in the Tata IPL 2022: The fifteenth edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) is just around the corner and every franchise is levelling up to compete highly in the lucrative tournament. The Tata IPL 2022 is set to commence on March 26th at the Wankhede Stadium. The opening fixture will be played out between Chennai Super Kings and Kolkata Knight Riders.
Ahead of the IPL 2022, each of the IPL teams was involved in the auction process to construct their squad for the coming IPL season. All ten parties did their best to acquire some of the best talents across the world and formed a formidable outfit for the cash-rich tournament.
Despite putting in their best efforts during and before the auction, the franchises will have plenty of issues in the contingent to sort out. The concerns may be big or small, but it needs to be solved as quickly as possible.
In this article, we will take you through the Strength and Weaknesses of all ten IPL teams in the Tata IPL 2022.
Strength and Weakness of all ten IPL teams in the Tata IPL 2022
Lucknow Super Giants (LSG):
Strength: The KL Rahul-led Lucknow have plenty of bowling options on the side. The likes of Avesh Khan, Ravi Bishnoi, Jason Holder, Andrew Tye, Dushmanta Chameera, Krishnappa Gowtham and Krunal Pandya can play a vital role in the team?s success in its debut season.
Weakness: Despite having KL Rahul, Quinton de Kock, Manish Pandey in the side, Lucknow lacks a solid and experienced Indian batter at the middle order. The franchise lacks someone who can anchor the innings and can also whack during the end.
Gujarat Titans (GT):
Strength: Gujarat?s strength lies in its bowling unit. The franchise has filled every possible void when it comes to bowling. The likes of Rashid Khan, Mohammad Shami, Lockie Ferguson and Alzarri Joseph forms their daunting bowling unit.
Weakness: The biggest concern for the Titans would be their inexperienced middle order. The franchise lacks firepower, despite having the likes of Hardik Pandya, Vijay Shankar. Skipper Hardik Pandya hasn?t been active in the cricket field and if he doesn?t regain his form, it might play spoilsport for the Gujarat Titans.

Rajasthan Royals (RR):
Strength: Rajasthan Royals (RR) is arguably one of the best batting sides in the IPL. Sanju Samson-led RR possesses extreme power in its top and middle order. The likes of Jos Buttler, Devdutt Padikkal, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Karun Nair are fantastic with their batting.
Weakness: Despite a balanced batting lineup, Rajasthan lacks a consistent and game-changing finisher in the team. The franchise has acquired Shimron Hetmyer, who can fulfil this role, but his consistency would be a major question. Moreover, young Riyan Parag is also highly inconsistent and inexperienced.?

Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH):
Strength: Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) have a decent pace attack with a good balance of youth and experience. Bhuvneshwar Kumar will lead the attack along with Kartik Tyagi, T Natarajan and Umran Malik. These pacers will be backed by Sean Abbott and Marco Jansen, who are two quality overseas options.
Weakness: SRH no longer have the services of Rashid Khan and the franchise failed miserably to acquire a proven spin attack. Washington Sundar is there, but he isn?t a prolific wicket taker. Moreover, Shreyas Gopal also hasn?t been in the best of his form in the IPL.
Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR):
Strength: Shreyas Iyer-led KKR indeed has a daunting lower-middle order. The finisher's role won?t be an issue as long as KKR have the likes of Sam Billings, Andre Russell, Pat Cummins and Sunil Narine in the lineup.
Weakness: The weakest link in KKR?s unit would be Russell?s fitness. The Caribbean all-rounder has been in and out of his side for his fitness-related reasons.

Punjab Kings (PBKS):
Strength: Punjab Kings (PBKS) smartly played with its picks during the auction and as a result, the franchise has solid batters. PBKS carries good depth in the batting unit, which will help them in scoring massive totals.
Weakness: Spin bowling would be an issue for Punjab. They successfully got hold of Rahul Chahar during the auction, but he alone can?t flip the game. Also, he hasn?t been in the best of his form of late.
Delhi Capitals (DC):
Strength: Delhi Capitals (DC) have played rightly to their tactics to include hard-hitters in the team. Prithvi Shaw, Shikhar Dhawan, Rishabh Pant, Mitchell Marsh and Rovman Powell are all explosive batters in their own discipline and can change the course of the game at any given time.
Weakness: Spin bowling looks a bit troublesome. The lack of some proven spinners will be a huge concern. DC retained Axar Patel who has done well, but there is no surety to his form. Kuldeep Yadav is also not showing encouraging signs.
Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB):
Strength: RCB has a solid opening combination in Faf du Plessis and Virat Kohli. The two can take on any bowling unit on any given day. Moreover, both of them can adapt to different situations and there is no denying how they whack bowlers for fun. Moreover, Glenn Maxwell at number 4 is also a positive sign for Bangalore.
Weakness: The problem of numbers 3 and 5 will continue to haunt RCB in the IPL 2022. A lot of burden will be on the shoulders of openers and Glenn Maxwell.

Mumbai Indians (MI):
Strength: Mumbai?s biggest strength lies in its core which is formed by Rohit Sharma, Suryakumar Yadav, Jasprit Bumrah, Ishan Kishan and Kieron Pollard. Unlike other teams, MI doesn?t run behind the big names but believes in grooming players who can perform for the team.
Weakness: Bowling unit is extremely thin this year. Mumbai roped in Jofra Archer, but he won?t be available for the IPL 2022. Jasprit Bumrah is the only proven bowler on the side. Moreover, spin bowling would be another troubling sign for the five-times champions.
Chennai Super Kings (CSK):
Strength: The batting order has enough depth and experience. The franchise holds a good mix of youth and experienced players to take the franchise forward in the IPL 2022. Not to forget, MS Dhoni in himself is the biggest advantage for the team.
Weakness: Chennai has weak death bowling options. Moreover, the injury scare to Deepak Chahar makes it even worse. The Indian options are limited and aren?t experienced enough to be trusted at first place.
