Taliban, the new governing system of Afghanistan, has blocked all the broadcasts of the Indian Premier League (IPL) season fourteen, reports suggest. Top Afghanistan cricketers Mohammad Nabi and Rashid Khan and Mujeeb Ur Rahman are participating in the proceedings of the league.
Phase two of the cash-rich Indian Premier League commenced on 19th September with MI vs CSK clash in the Dubai International Stadium.
The new regime of Afghanistan, which took over a few weeks ago, has banned all the broadcasts of the gala tournament citing anti-Islam content.
?Afghanistan national will not broadcast the @IPL as usual as it was reportedly banned to live the matches resumed tonight due to possible anti-Islam contents, girls dancing & the attendence of barred hair women in the by Islamic Emirates of the Taliban,? tweeted Former Afghanistan Cricket Board media manager M Ibrahim Momand.

A few other reporters from the country also tweeted about the same after the new administration of Afghanistan banned the gala tournament?s broadcast.
The Taliban, last week, confirmed that the government will support over 400 sports however refrained from making comments on women?s sport. Afghanistan?s new sports chief denied all the questions relating to Women sports and participation.
?Please don?t ask more questions about women,? Bashir Ahmad Rustamzai told news agency AFP.
During the earlier rule of the Taliban (1996 to 2001), the government strictly prohibited women?s sport and also placed caps on men sports. The Women were largely banned to attend any sporting show or even barred from education and work.
